Kalvin Philips Done
West Ham United is delighted to confirm the signing of England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season. The 28-year-old joins the Hammers from Manchester City and could make his debut in Thursday’s Premier League fixture with AFC Bournemouth at London Stadium.

"Two left arse holes You can't still be supporting Moyes. Have you not been watching the last 2 years. Phillips is similar to Drinkwater he looked good for a season or 2 but then looked shit in another team. I'm not surprised you don't like CnBooze because they talk about the dire Moy3s with facts, like every other fan base. Even the pacifist. Hammers chat are Moyes out now. But seeing as you like being humiliated like your idol I'm not surprised again"
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
After his recent horror shows has he mentioned the trophy’s he won last season and that he is from a winning team. We may have had better CDM’s but none that have won more. No he hasn’t said that? How odd. I thought that was how you defend poor performances.

"“ The real question is why Pep paid £45m (?) for him” Everyone makes mistakes. It’s just about how much you get things right, and pep gets a hell of a lot right. The thing is I don’t see anything classy from Phillips. I’ve seen nothing that said to me, oh that’s a top level move he’s just done. Even as a CDM he looks light as well. Was he really that good at Leeds? From what I remember Leeds didn’t defend much anyway. They just all bombed forward. What made Philips special?"

Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"Sydders - Yep, a waistcoat favourite for some reason, I suspect that will be Phillips' main motivation now (the Euro's) rather than 'helping' us out, although I suppose the two will go hand in hand. Personally, I don't see it turning around, he can't play for another two weeks, so basically he's going backwards, and even then I suspect Moyes is going to have a proper think if he wants to start him, against Everton, I think. I noted that Phillips has admitted that he isn't up to speed and stated that intense training at City isn't the same as playing, so begs the question why did we sign a player in Jan who has hardly played for two years? Seems like we underestimated how far off the pace he is, which is piss poor imo. Moyes chased this Leeds cսnt for three years like a love sick puppy, as he did with Lombard, and now has egg on his face and needs to be held held accountable for weighing out half a bar a week on the player?"

Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"He's a Southgate favorite so be interesting to see if he is chosen for the Euros, Southgate does have form for picking players who are not featuring at Club level (Maguire) or playing in shit leagues (Henderson), but unless he shows a real turnaround in form it will be a travesty if he's in the squad for the Euros! Has been nowhere near up to speed in the PL, not sure what he did in training at Man City but warming that bench on match days certainly didn't help."

"All the fucking professional managers on here, fucking laughable. I‚Äôm surprised you aren‚Äôt all listening to the live chat on claret and booze and knocking one out over the 4 twats on there spewing their bile about Moyes. Call themselves fans? ?ü§£?ü§£?ü§£"

Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"I'm almost convinced that Moyes chased Philips to play alongside Rice and, in his (Moyes's) head, Rice was still a West Ham player when he pushed the deal for him through, just to prove he could pick a winner."
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
City brought Phillips after we had made our interest in the player public as a bargaining tool when it came to signing Rice as Rice hadn’t let it be known that his first choice was Arsenal at that stage .Obviously it didn’t work out but I always thought that Phillips would sign for us eventually.

Re: Kalvin Philips Done
The real question is why Pep paid £45m (?) for him I guess if you have all that money tucked away from fake sponsorship deals (115 charges) you can afford a few disasters. Never a Man City level player ... expect if Leeds get promoted he might go back on a free transfer with a big contribution to his current contract wages. Never sure why if he was trying to do that deal that he didnt push the boat out a bit more and buy Rice a year or so before Arsenal

"Yep no worries, Mex. Just as long as he doesn't eat too many Burger Kings and the like on his day off whilst we try and actually win a game of football next. £140K a week and something like £6M Loan fee, we're currently paying to have this waste of space. Nice easy Everton Away fixture next for him to make his next valuable contribution, if he manages to keep the weight off.."
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"I thought Bristol City and Forest roughed us up and we lack any type of leadership on the pitch so i thought if he could improve that he might, just might be worth the loan but its a long way off at the moment."

Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"Oh he gets stuck in, alright, to the point the stupid cսnt gets himself sent off with 1 booking for manhandling an opponent. He looks 13, plays like he's 13 and has the attitude of a spoilt petulant 13 year old with poor discipline. Guardiola fucking warned everyone but they instead felt sorry for the Yorkshire Pudding sap. Well I was listening Pep and understood perfectly why you barely used the lazy fat fuck and why I had the right hump he was pointlessly rocking up having little need for him, whilst paying through the nose to have him here. Sometimes as a Club we are thick as fucking pigshit."

Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"Phillips will come good, you can see he has some skill on the ball and he is not afraid of getting stuck in, there will be no messing about with him, I like that. Time will tell Manuelito, but best you stick to your own opinions and don't invent them for others. Stevethehammer, Moyes quote from Friday yes 2 days ago: ""we're in a very good place""! I hope he does a Klopp / Xabi, it's fashionable and would be the best for everyone."
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"Said all along he was slow, couldn't adapt to City, can't even settle into the slowest team in the PL overrated never in Rice's class though many on here thought he was better like the media. Moyes got what he wanted Phillips then Soucek back intended team pdq"

"Mex Martillo 10:54 Sat Feb 17 ''I think he'll be a good player for us'' Yea, right'o. You also think we're going to win every week and Moyes is a top manager. Genuinely intrigued to what exactly you are basing your prediction on, Martillo? he can't play the next game, after that I'd say he may be on the bench, he's unfit and looks absolutely dreadful and playing for a side that isn't capable of literally doing anything. So how do you see it suddenly turning around in the time that is left from utter dogshit to 'good'? please bear in mind this isn't football manager."

"It's clear that he's not match fit, and his confidence has been shot to pieces over the past year or so, and for that reason I'm not going to be harsh on him. BUT - we didn't need a half fit, under confident defensive midfielder in the first place. That's down to Moyes."
