I know it's not as easy as that but we have been pretty shit in the league and someone like Lopetegui I'm sure will be smarter than this."

Most goals conceded of all clubs in PL except the relegated sides. A form guide in 2024 of 4th from bottom. 7 games conceded 4+ goals. A squad with no depth. Throwing the League Cup. Bottling the FA cup. Lucky to end up in top ten. And still playing a very pragmatic and defensive style. That's the standard he left behind. And that is why he has gone.
