"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

yngwies Cat I get it. It's fear of the unknown and a feeling of lack of control of own destiny. Talking frankly without fear of judgement and with a view that someone can relate/provide information is something you DO have control over so your post is a step forward. We see you. Take care and hopefully Thursdays result is another tonic for you.

"I don't want to come across as a complete fanny and thought whether to post, but to be honest I thought it might resonate with someone who maybe has taken or taking steroids or other medications The best things about WHO. 1) Anyone can be a complete fanny and anyone can call them out on it. 2)There is one place on WHO where we can drop the online personas and be honest, doubtful, fearful, angry, charitable and tearful and the opposite happens. Keep us informed, Annony mate lean in if you need to."

"MPI, thanks for asking, your a good egg mate. Yes I am fortunate having support from family and a few friends. I don't want to come across as a complete fanny and thought whether to post, but to be honest I thought it might resonate with someone who maybe has taken or taking steroids or other medications that have caused them mental side effects or bring it to the attention of anyone who may have not considered it being the cause. My situation is fairly irrelevant, it is a respiratory problem developed slowly before Covid, 2 x antibiotics from gp did nothing, told it can't be bacterial sent me away with steriod inhaler saying it was Asthma related. Covid shutdowns came it got worse couldn't get a gp appointment only phone avoided hospital as probably wouldn't be here now. After Covid subsided insisted to be referred to hospital, 1 year later after xrays, pft's,bloods,ct scans, they said I had emphysema or asbestosis, but my pft's didn't align with their diagnosis and I questioned it. They repeated all tests again with same results. They referred me to another respiratory hospital and the doctor diagnosed me with Pumonary Fibrosis and brought me in quickly for 3 days IV steriod treatment discharged now on 2+ months high dose steriods. No major side effects, but only 2 days in. Sorry to bore with details, this is my last post on the subject. I will give an update here after next seen doctor in June. Love to all my West Ham family xxx"

"Annony 12:44 Sun Mar 26 Best of luck. You may - probably will - find that they highlight potential side-effects to legally cover their own arse. I suspect that if many people actually worked through the possible side effects from most everyday drugs, even over-the-counter flavour, they'd simply avoid them. You seem to be in command of most, if not all of the information important to you so you can balance the probabilities against the possibilities, so back to the beginning of my post and...best of luck."

"Pentonville good question, only found out last week so not sure? They arranged it quick as they said I have massive inflammation. I don't think they give you anything. Only thing been told I will have to change diet cut down on carbs and sugar due to diabetes and weight gain. They work on the premise to go ahead with treatment if the potential gain outweighs the potential side effects. There giving me Methylprednisolone1,000 mg intravenous solution over 3 days then 40mg Prednisolone tablets tapered reviewed after 2 months."

"Going in hospital Monday for a few days for high dose 1000mg IV corticosteroid treatment, then 2 months 60% chance of working. Apprehensive about the 130 possible side effects, Dr says I will die from current lung disease as only 30% Oxygen so have no choice but to take, common side effects include anxiety, depression also hallucinations, schizophrenia and suicidal thoughts some possible long term. Some proper horror stories on Reddit."

"Hi Mark, No doubt we have posted together in the past, good honest share, the part about working on mental health not being a project but rather a lifetime undertaking was a really useful call out. 55 and playing video games? Good for you, son, I personally cannot stand them but that's sort of the point: The older we get, the more we realise that you do what you need/want to do not what others think you should. Stay on it mate, all the best."
