I tend to agree...although I'm comfortable that Wan Bissaka and Scarles are both of a mind to presss forward properly...but going with the 3 central mids in the absence of Paqueta, instead of starting with Ferguson or Guilherme or even Soler, is poor. 

The return of the Soucek-Ward Prowse axis of shit....has never ever worked...don't see that changing today.

In general I'm on with the 3-4-3 he's played before at Brighton etc....as long as when he has the option Summerville or a player if that ilk is starting at right full back, and the two number 10s are proper attacking players.

Scarles has played midfield and left wing for the yoofs, so he's not really an out and out defender. Wan Bissaka one of our most progressive players this year going forward....but that Soucek-Alvarez-Ward Prowse combo....just so weak, one paced and lacking in the ability to pass the ball forward (if at all). 

stubbo, I'm perfectly happy with the two wingbacks (scarles is the best crosser of a ball at the club) but you play this system so you can commit an extra attacking player through the middle, and he's not even trying that. hammers chat saying soucek's the third attacking player

Because if Ferguson is being judged that he’s not fit enough to start, then theres no way Todibo can be match fit to start either, he didn’t even bring him on last week but now he’s starting 
If it’s ok for Todibo to start, then it’s ok for Ferguson who actually has more match fitness
