Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Window this close season comes in two parts:

Not sure I agree. Bloke had a hand in all our goals today and worked tirelessly too.

we don't let Paq go unless we have replacement signings lines up, shirley. I'm guessing this is why nothing is confirmed. Why is this shit always going down in the last 2 days of the window!?

I know that the one party you can never trust/believe are those that own and run the club. I have my opinion on who is driving the theory he wants to leave via certain journos and club arse lickers, probably to gauge supporter sentiment on the subject to know if they can safely cash in without any uproar. It’s classic Sullivan and Co tactics, shifty pricks.

Back tracking.?

Yeah I think Sullivan wants to sell and I expected him to go but I never once thought Paqueta was instigating it.

The idea of loaning Paqueta on the last day of the window is insane
Which makes it likely to happen under Sullivan

We need another midfielder and a couple of centre halves & strikers
THAT is what we should be doing tomorrow
Heavy defeat today & could be looking for a new manager tomorrow as well

Sadly I think from his point of view he had a life changing move all agreed and then spent 2 yrs in a fucked up situation. I think I'd be a bit paranoid of something else falling through tbh. Plus his agent wants the money he would have got 2 yrs ago I imagine, and so does Sullivan.

I suppose it's all inevitable really. I just think he should wait for City or another big team. I dont think another season with us will change much for him.

The thing that is probably pushing him is that he probably thinks the team aren't going anywhere with Potter or Potter isnt even going to be around. So I can understand him wanting to go asap.

I just cant believe we have lost Kudus, Alvarez and looking like Paq and Aguered. How does a club lose that many great players in one go?? Is the bubbles song really just a big curse we keep singing to ourselves every other week???

I think he’s been shit for ages now. Gives the ball away and rolls around pretending to be injured. So not fussed him leaving once we spend the money to replace him.

saying that, it is a slap in the face, after standing by him through the betting saga.

Not it isn’t.
It’s a completely different situation.

Don't understand saying Paqueta is lazy. He always puts in a shift, unfortunately often a headless chicken shift, but he aint lazy. Two goals in 2 games is promising, I really think he is on his way back to being the player he was with us in his 1st year.
Of course he isn't lazy... He's everywhere
