Well it's a fast turnaround for this one.  After a hard fought, but somewhat disappointing point at Old Trafford, we head to the south coast for an arguably more difficult looking game on paper.

Brighton have been a bogey side since they arrived in the division, as well as being the envy of many fans for their progressive owner and stellar recruitment model.

Teamwise, Nuno gets to 'bring' Paqueta back (I won't use the term 'welcome'), and the messaging around Summerville remains opaque at best.  Plus as to what happened to Guilherme who knows, but with both him and Igor missing we went from a squad of 3 Braziliians to none versus Man Utd in one fell swoop.

This leaves at least a decision around Soucek, but if Summerville (or Guilherme) were to be available, another decision around 2 of 3 from Fernandes, Magassa, and Potts.

Predicted Lineup

I'm working on the basis that Paqueta will come back in, and Summerville will at best be fit for the bench:
Areola

Wan Bissaka  Mavropanos  Todibo  Diouf

Magassa  Potts

Bowen   Paqueta   Fernandes

Wilson

Subs:  Hermansen, Kilman, KWP, Irving, Kante, Earthy, Guilherme, Summerville, Marshall
Predicted Score:  Brighton 2 - 1 West Ham

Brighton remain high up in the current form table, scoring twice as many as they concede.  West Ham are midtable over the last 5 games, are at a scoring ratio of roughly 1:1.

Hard to see anything but a defeat here, but we have a punchers chance (all be it, the blows themselves are fairly lightweight and will need to find the Brighton chin with surgical precision to knock them out).

I would say pick up where you left off against Manu - and he makes radical changes like putting Rodrigues in. IDK. Can see us getting smashed here

I’m just don’t understand how that midfield will get anywhere near them.
They’ll just play through them.

Forest beat them 7-0 last year...maybe it's a cunning plan.

Getting even angrier now. How can he replace the motm and scorer, who would be buzzing, magasser with that awful show pony and selfish waste of space Paqueta  who got himself sent off let's remember and then played the mental health card. Come on you prick Nuno explain that one away.

Is this Rodriguez' chance at a shop window display ahead of the transfer window? I can only think that is the reason. He chose to bring Irving on second half on Thursday so must rate him above Rodriguez and surely he cant be tired?

You just keep making no sense Nuno!!!!

There must be a science behind the 3 games in 7 days thing. Can anyone play 3 games a week at peak performance? Does the extra 10% you get fitness wise win games?
I do think the PL is now about athletes rather than just skilful footballers. Probably more so than any other league. Maybe these are fitness decisions more than strategic one?

Honestly I think I'd rather have JWP over Guido but for all we know he's buried under Nuno's new patio.

Oh and a back four with no kilman > than a back five with him.

What an awful starting line up. I didn’t expect to see Rodriguez playing again. Potts and Magassa inexplicably dropped to the bench. Five at the back. No striker. Simply asking for trouble.

Thought you'd be happy as you'll be able to blame Paquetá if we lose.
Yeah, obviously as a long term season ticket holder I will be delighted if the club loses again and gets marooned in the relegation zone. You idiot.

You are such a weird, obsessive stalker.
Hà ha, I didn't say you'd want us to lose and wtf does being a season ticket holder have to do with it, but let's be honest you will blame Paquetá and offer it as more 100% proof even though it won't be. Maybe Sheff Utd were right one player is solely responsible for a teams results.

Exactly. I would sack the cսnt if we lose badly today.

Fuck it, might as well get Bilic back in.

I'm beginning to wonder if Nuno's sacking from Forest was all a ruse and he is a Forest under cover agent trying to take us down to give Forest a chance of beating the drop.

Let's see how we do before sacking him, he desperately needs a result after picking that team though.

Initial thought is this is one of Nuno’s brain farts in the making. Tinkering unnecessarily. I get Wilson not starting as he probably can’t do it and that is a Sullivan fuck up.

Resting Magassa and Potts, unless both are carrying knocks or ill effects from Thursday is just really dangerous and silly.
