Hamas attack Israel
"Or should i say they are attacking to get THEIR land back. Good luck to them. The World will watch and do nothing to help them as they always do, shame on us."

"Ray You seem to be missing the point. You keep quiet on certain people. Why is that? I know about them wronguns, scum the lot of them. But the difference between me and you is i call them all out, whereas you pick and choose, seeing if it fits your political narrative. So what, i was a fan growing up, until we found out he was a wrongun."

"ray winstone 7:41 Mon Oct 16 Is discussing what is happening in the Middle East too scary for you? Kindly leave the petty political squabbling out of this thread - and, please, no pre-adolescent ""he started it"" bollocks. Thank you."

"360, why have the actions been different with Iran, compared to Iraq and Afghanistan? Wild punt, but my guess would be that Iraq and Afghanistan weren't backed by Russia and China?"

Re: Hamas attack Israel
"Yeah, Iran does seem to be the common denominator in all this, and they're more concerned with their womenfolk showing a little bit of hair (lest it incites the real men in their community into rape & violence) than they are in anything else. The end game may be a few strategic nukes in and around Tehran to jolt them into 21st century thinking. I hope not, but the west has left itself with very few bargaining chips on this front. Tehran and Iran are beautiful places with a lot of history they can be proud of; none of that seems to matter to the current administration there."

Re: Hamas attack Israel
"WHU To be honest, war. They’ve tried diplomacy. I’m actually surprised how much diplomacy they have tried because they didn’t try that with a lot of other places they invaded. I don’t know why they haven’t. I’m not advocating for it. I’m just intrigued by it all? I did read that the place is so mountainous it’s impossible to invade. So maybe that’s it. But when you look at world actors, all roads kind of lead to Iran in terms of obstacles that many of the western allies have. Would Saudi has lost in Yemen had it not been for Iran? Would Israel have just lost 1200 people in a week had it not been for Iran? Would Saudi, Egypt and Israel all be happier had it not been for Iran? Would Russia not have quit Ukraine had it not been for Iran? Surely these countries are all thinking the same thing right now? Seems obvious."

"360, who do you mean by ""all these other countries"", who've not dealt with Iran. Do you mean diplomacy or war?"

"I must admit that the recent release of $6 Billion dollars to Iran ranks alongside the get-the-fuck-out-of-Afghanistan-now-whatever-it-costs decision as a contender in the ""Don't Have a Fucking Clue How the Real World Works"" contest. Remind me, again, who made/authorised those decisions."

Re: Hamas attack Israel
"WHU I mean everyone has known they sponsor Hamas and Hezbollah. That’s been going on for years now. Everyone knows they sponsor terrorism. Even Bush jr mentioned them in his “axis of evil” speech before the 2nd gulf war. Israel have always had beef with them. There leader about 10-15 yrs ago said he’d wipe Israel off the face of the earth. The whole sanctions thing and stopping them getting nukes has also been going on a very long time. None of this new. So it’s in all these countries interests to deal with Iran and no one ever has. They’ve done Syria, Libya, Iraq etc. but not Iran. I’m just interested in why?"

"Everyone hasn’t known about two of those things “for a very long time”, as they’ve only recently happened. Ditto the US recently sanctioning the release of money to them, that had been held in South Korea for donkeys years. Not the money so much, more the message."

Re: Hamas attack Israel
"WHU Yes, but everyone knows this and has known for a very long time. The British govt have been routinely clowned by Iran (didn’t they take one of boats a while back? Not to mention British hostages to get back some money we owed them). Israel threatens to attack them but never does. They sponsor Hamas, hezbollah, I think Isis at one point. They’ve taken over half of Iraq etc they’re giving Russia weapons to bomb Ukraine. It’s just a long list of stuff. And the mad thing is that their own people try to overthrow them and can’t. I’ve not met any western Iranian who has anything good to say about the regime either. So it’s like, what could they do that their enemies are so petrefied of? (Saudi, Israel the USA etc?)."

"Surf They would have to, especially after the anti-semitic aggro that has plagued the party, and half of the jewish population are in their contituencies."

"Ray Don't pretend you are outraged by perverted cunts, especially when you have kept quiet about the labour councils covering up pakistani rape gangs, Labour mps/councillors downloading indecent images of children. I wonder why you choose not to talk about that? You would fit right in"
