"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"

DukeofDevo 8:21 Fri Oct 29 I admit I had to Google that but it seems like Goliath was almost exactly talking about the Sacklers but didn't want the potential lawsuit. Dopesick makes them out to be the scummy cunts they actually are.

I'm currently watching Dopesick on my phone at the gym about Purdue and the Sackler family inventing and promoting Oxycontin criminally. It's a bit strange to be walking slowly on the treadmill (busted pelvis) while actually full of the stuff!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SAS-Heroes-Authorized-Wartime-History/dp/0241186625 Book is quite brilliant... if you are short of a read deffo worth a butchers... some of the stuff I had to re-read 2 or 3 times to process ... some quite incredible stories... I have finished the War in the Desert part and now onto the Italian camoaign... not sure whether that will be touched in the series (does not look like it)... just hope the BBC do the book and more importantly the people in the Regiment justice

Looks good with a good cast. Let's hope they don't have Reggae music in Cairo.

Reading this book at the moment... thought I had read everything about `The Regiment'... some absolutely incredible stories.... if the new series is half as good as the book it should be some viewing... can't wait... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10143825/SAS-Rogue-Heroes-LOOK-new-BBC-drama-Peaky-Blinders-creator-Steven-Knight.html

"Swiss - Yea agree, went crap a few years ago, but still has enough about it to stick at it. As you say some good characters, plus so much back stabbing and skulduggery, and I do like Wendy!"

Manuel Billions turned to shit after 3 seasons. Didn't jump the shark but ran out of ideas. I miss the supporting characters like Wags and Dollar. Currently watching Paris Police 1900 on BBC. It's excellent especially having spent so much time in Paris through my life. Like I didn't know St Lazare was a prision and La Villette the butchers meat market area. Trying it without the Eng subs but a lot of Parisienne slang.

"Well like I said just one season left, and Axe isn't in it, or cameo appearances at best."

Manuel 9:10 That’s how I’m feeling with it. Getting stale. I still watch it but they desperately need a new storyline.

"Picked up with Billions again, it's the same old people trying to bring the other one down, but it's still watchable with some good scenes. The next season is the last one, thankfully."

"Maybe I was a bit harsh, but the old man is by a street the best character. I see they are now back to who becomes the new CEO, a storyline that has been done already."

Succession is good but the old man carries the whole show. The other characters are mainly shit.

"Northern Sold 1:06 Thu Oct 21 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Loved Haunting of Hill House, genuinely the only thing I've watched as an adult that made me a bit nervous! Oh and word of advice, look around the frame, you might spot some things..."

"Finished Mr Inbetween and Justified. Both good, without being top drawer. Some of the shit being reco'd on here I wouldn't touch with a barge pole."

"collyrob 2:01 Thu Oct 21 Yeah I think in Bly Manor there were 2 episodes with basically 2 ghost conversing with each other. Yeah total shit, I agree Only Murders in the Building is light comical fun."

"I thought bly manor was shit. We’re watching YOU season 3 now, it’s a bit repetitive but still a decent watch. Also only murders in the building, Steve Martin show, a light hearted who done it, but it’s surprisingly good."

Northern Sold 1:06 Thu Oct 21 Last night ended up watching last 3 of Midnight Mass… tailed off and got a bit `silly’ for me and deffo was not as gripping as some of the middle episodes... So overall it's a but shit really after all the hype you've given it?

Haunting of Hill House is excellent. Doesn't need to rely just on the spooky stuff as the real life drama stuff is good. Not filler as you get in so many series like Mare of Easttown. The Haunting of Bly Manor is utter gash.
