NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Hermit - it was absolutely ludicrous and a failure compounded by the fact that he did it TWICE within a few minutes. Saleh is really struggling, despite all of his waffle words in front of the media. He talks a great game. It's just that we have never seen that game on the field. Not once, really. I like the guy as a person and I want him to turn it around. But the grim reality - there for all to see now - is that he wasn't quite ready to be an NFL head coach when he got the job (which was my fear at the time). I just hope that he learns to adapt quickly, or he's going to be another over-hyped co-ordinator who sinks fast."

I see that the other lot in New York have ditched Jason Garrett as OC. His (lone) star has fallen considerably in the past few seasons.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"""Robert Saleh used up two time-outs in the first 8.5 minutes of the third quarter against the Fish."" That's ludicrous. On the subject of new coaches, the Eagles' coaching team looks like it is growing into the role along with Jalen Hurts and the rest of the team. Both NY teams up next and then maybe heating up nicely at the right time for a run into the playoffs."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Btw, the chaos of what is really going on at the Jets' sideline was summed up by one simple fact on Sunday: Robert Saleh used up two time-outs in the first 8.5 minutes of the third quarter against the Fish. He, and his coaching staff, have such poor communication and he is so raw and inexperienced at game management that he wasted two second half time-outs shortly after half-time. The team was barely ready to call a play, so he had almost nothing left for the clutch period at the end of the 4th quarter when the game was close. The guy is simply NOT the coach he was presented as, a situation made worse by the fact that, with his team imploding, he point blank refuses to call defensive plays: the bit he does know about. He's just not ready to be a head coach. Yet. He'd better fucking step up soon enough."

"No passing touchdowns in a game with Dak and mahomes I did not expect to be saying that Twice in three weeks the offender haven't showed up don't think you can say that's a blip even without cooper and lamb. Offensive line just didn't stand up. Just good to see the defender holding up even without Lawrence and Gregory, parsons was outstanding again"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
It's laughable how obvious it is that Buck and Aikman always openly want the Cowboys to win. Gets right on my tits.

And I should add...our fucking owners need to sell up and get out of Gotham. They have overseen twenty two years of utter dross punctuated only intermittently by a rare gold-standard player like Revis.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yet another poor performance from Saleh's Jets. Some fans will wang on about a mild improvement compared with previous weeks. But the reality is that we lost fairly comfortably to a bang average, even poor, Fish side. This ain't getting much better under this coaching staff any time soon. Another complete write-off of a season. Seen a couple of articles this week, asking whether Saleh will be a one (season) and out coach. Can't see that, myself. Think he'll get 2022 to show some improvement. But we are a LONG way off being competitive. Lots of hype around Saleh when he got the gig. He is well short of where many experts thought he was as a coach. Very underwhelming so far. Can only hope the kid QB comes back, catches fire, and give us something to be encouraged about for 2022."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Incredible from Jonathan Taylor - guy's becoming a Fantasy cheat code. That's a big win for the Colts too.

Got Taylor in my Fantasy Team. He currently has more points that the entire team I'm up against this week.

"Norflundon 4:20 Sun Nov 21 ""Big test for my boys tonight think it'll be a good game looking forward to see Dak and Mahomes match up"" I'll be staying up for it. Like you with the Cowboys, my in-laws are connected with the Chiefs so I've had them forced on me as a 2nd team. Should be a good game hopefully now the Chief have found some form, but I reckon a Cowboys win."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Too many injured Saints these days. Defence is fighting hard but probably not enough points against the Eagles today.

"Belichick's patsies looking ominously like Belichick's patsies, too. It's an open season, again. But I can see some established coaches and names finding another path to the play-offs."

"The Girls/Chiefs match-up should be a good one, Norf. McCarthy has got them playing well on both sides of the ball. Your brother is in a good place. But Reid et al will be a stern test. They're finding form at the right time."
