Going back to putting players out of position He has absolutely destroyed any confidence and ability Fornals had by sticking him on the left wing. Wouldn't be so bad but considering he has a natural left footed player who made a career in France out of playing on the wing just sitting there rotting away on the bench.

"If we don't win tomorrow then the rot has fully set in, wheels firmly off, etc. If they then don't act over the break then we will know that they are happy to plod on until May. What will the 50,000+ ST holders do about that? Nothing, I suspect."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Nottm Forest - Official Match Thread - Preview
"IF we lose tomorrow its time to act. We wont of course, because we are clearly not going to go down with some of the shite down there, and for our leadership and owners that's probably good enough, but it SHOULD be time to act if we have any shred of ambition aside from standing still or slowly fading back into the struggling club of years past."

"As someone mentioned on another thread. Moyes always finds a way to play someone out of position. JWP has never played that deep. He’s not that good at tge defensive side of the game and you waste his ability with the ball. Paqueta showed last season he can tackle and defend but Moyes is “always right” and “knows best” and seems to be pushing back to a number 10 role where he first started playing at West Ham. Of course allowing Downes to leave and not Soucek was always poor judgement imho. Neither are world beaters but Downes can run at a decent pace and pass the ball and Soucek well he ain’t a number 10 and too slow to okay CDM The longer Moyes hangs around the more obvious his limitations and blindness are. He became a manager before coaching badges etc And it shows. Keeping the ball is a team thing and about movement, pressing, quick accurate passing and strength on the ball. He never recruited to play that way."

"we have to play JWP higher up the pitch i) he's not a good CDM and ii) he's a different kind of creative than Paqueta, as we saw the other night...we need to get the ball out and down the sides and at least give the oppo something to think about versus watching us pass side to side I still think there's an option ,when /if zouma is back to play dinos as a partner to Alvarez as a DM ..kind of a 4-2-4 ...and free up the front 4 defensive duties-0 at least for first phase/turnovers"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Nottm Forest - Official Match Thread - Preview
"The way Moyes sets up I would go with this ----------------------------Areola/Fab--------------------------- Coufal------------Mav-----------------Aguerd----Emerson ---------------------------Alvarez-------------------------------- ---------------Paqueta---------------JWP--------------------- Bowen or Kudus------------------------------Bowen or Kudus ------------------------------???????--------------------------------- Not much difference between Areola and Fab but Moyes will go with Areola. It's the Bowen/Kudus quandary though. Both can't play on the right and I don't think either are the answer up front, unless you play one with another in a two, which Moyes won't generally do. Who you put up top I haven't got a clue as on form neither Antonio or Ings are much use and Moyes certainly won't start with the youngsters."

"he cannot go a game without at least player out of position. he's started playing paqueta in a more suitable role, so if course he moves jwp in to a holding role next to alvarez. alvarez doesn't need a babysitter so drifts up field. he's now decided we don't need to play with a striker, so bowen is being marginalised in a system where we didn't give service to actual strikers. It's fucked, we're fucked yet the idiotic front like willgrass lap it up"

"Teams like Forest will cause you problems if you let them have alot of ball and let them play. What they cannot do is defend securely for 90 minutes. So we need to have alot of possession and play with intent of the front foot. Unfortunately, Moyes is almost certainly looking at their good form and thinking that we need to first and foremost be strong at the back and defend well. It's got potential to be a bore fest. But if Moyes lets them off a bit then we have every chance of a win. But I am sticking with my previous view that we will get turned over."

Have we ever played two different teams in succession owned by the same person before? That’s got to be fairly unique.

"Beat Chelsea away. Drew at Palace. Just beat Villa. I'm going with a draw. All will depend on the first goal for us though I think. Nick one, our tactics might pay off. Concede one and the crowd will get aggy."

They don't like being called Notts Forest. Notts is Nottinghamshire. They're not called Nottinghamshire Forest. They get the hump about it.

"Jeez… The suggestion of playing Soucek as a striker was a totally unsubtle dig at Moyes inability to use proper strikers, his heavy reliance on Soucek’s goals and the desperate need to avoid wasting Paqueta in a wide role. Everyone with half a braincell got it so this is yet more proof of your gamma-lobster mental condition, Twundle. Don’t you have a carer to help you avoid this kind of public humiliation?"

"goose 5:39 Fri Nov 10 ""Just when you thought Pickle's football ideas couldnt get anymore retarded..........."" The funny thing is, Pickled was suggesting playing Soucek as a striker not so long ago. Now he reckons ""we can kiss the game goodbye right now if he plays Soucek and a lone striker"". Even Moyes isn't that stupid to play Mubama on the wing and Soucek up front."
