Dispatches tonight could be about him so he has jumped in first dismissing claims and rumours and saying anything he did in past was consensual. No doubt it will be said that this is The Matrix coming after him due to his opposition to mainstream media.

"Over the last ten or twenty years, the media and political class, followed by a load of sheep rushed en masse leftwards, then pointed at everybody else and called us right wing or extreme right. Fucking nobs."

"Stewie, And as i said yesterday, I’m not talking about the merits of being right or left wing. There’s deviants on both sides. My point is, I mentioned Russell Brand has moved to the right and got treated like some crackpot. I’m simply proving my point that it’s quite widely accepted that Brand caters to the right."

"As I said yesterday...such a weird hill to die on Russell Brand of C4, the guardian, the BBC, the new statesman, prospect and the Labour Party was a sex pest, and allegedly a rapist, who was given a home by these people despite openly admitting that he was a sex addict and despite all of them knowing what he was like. Russell Brand the right winger is married with two children, and there are no accusations of impropriety at all. Hopefully more people will convert so we can rid ourselves of these dangerous sexual predators. That's your point, yes?"

"Mike, I am English but I live in America, so I see the full spectrum. This isn’t just aimed at you, but to most on this site - just because you don’t want him to be a right wing spokesperson, doesn’t mean he hasn’t become one. Most of his content is aimed at the right. You might call it questioning, most would call it conspiracy theories. The sickest one he peddles, in my opinion, is that 9/11 was an inside job. His pandering to the freaks in QAnon while bemoaning the left calling him right-wing is another. You say he’s a top notch communicator, I say he’s a grifter that’s found his niche. Like I said yesterday, if the company you keep is Andrew Tate, Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, Charlie Kirk, Katie Hopkins, Elon Musk, Ian Cheong…well, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck. People seem to think this is just me being a weirdo. Basically, every major publication recognizes him as pandering to the right. Seeing as everyone on here is too stubborn to do some research and ask questions (ironic, that…) I’ll do it for you and make a ridiculous dump to prove a point. Yes, some are from the big bad mainstream media. Some are not. But I’m sure that if people did have a look around, they would still insist he doesn’t pander to the right, or that he’s just asking questions. I think that says more about the people on here, who no doubt I’ll see pop up on the woke thread, than to does about Brand. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/09/16/russell-brands-evolution-from-left-wing-comedian-to-podcast/ https://www.newstatesman.com/comment/2023/03/have-lost-russell-brand https://www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas/technology/internet/61724/tarnished-brand https://www.vice.com/en/article/y3w5e7/russell-brand-sex-abuse-allegations-conspiracy-theories https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-unmaking-of-russell-brand/ https://www.thedailybeast.com/comedian-russell-brand-has-become-a-powerful-voice-for-anti-vaxxers https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/russell-brand-supporters-elon-musk-andrew-tate-nqd2hk6nq https://www.wired.com/story/dark-economics-russell-brand/ https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/russell-brand-fans-officially-lost-140138601.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAKiQZ32EAIrVnXOwUQf8YF6oUTJ-108-PrwalUt2KgBQ4YInYDtJMo4siNbQhoSwDyD5cIy8RYH09NbFOuAHArW6DqxP2cxclWCxoy9VMrGaWJwcF_gbzyJXBUlhMYR3eeqJf6lcVwxWGkjtjqR2nuvDkZDpE6c7P2qKNpDHyBjO https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/features/russell-brand-youtube-conspiracy-theories-b2043777.html That’s from the briefest of searches online. But I know nobody will click on any of those, so here’s some quotes from several other publications. “2020 – present: A step to the right and response to allegations Once viewed as a roguish poster boy for the left, Brand’s anti-establishment messaging became increasingly in line with right-wingers during COVID-19 as he began questioning the pandemic’s origins. His new weekly views rose from a low of under 500,000 in November 2020 to about 14.5 million weekly views during March 2022, with videos like “Get Boosted, The Mainstream Media’s COVID Hysteria is Back!” garnering millions of views.” “Since then, Brand has amassed a dedicated following on social media – 3.8 million followers on Instagram, 2.2 million on TikTok and 6.6 million on YouTube – off the back of YouTube videos about conspiracies, vaccine misinformation and interviews with right-wing broadcasters, including Americans Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan.” “But in more recent times he has built up a large following on YouTube, where his content has often leaned into conspiracy theories, right-wing viewpoints and a general mistrust of mainstream news.” “Speaking on the comedian Bill Maher’s talk show last weekend, Brand launched into a tinny rant that encompassed every right-wing signalling trope: the ghoulish mainstream media, the dishonest and untrustworthy pharmaceutical industry, the West’s shameful treatment of Julian Assange and “American hero” Edward Snowden, and the Covid drug Ivermectin.” “In the end Brand’s position on the Hunter Biden laptop story places him firmly in the camp of the populist and conspiratorial Right. It was a cover-up. Information wasn’t allowed to circulate through the digital networks because it was inconvenient, and might have damaged Joe Biden’s ability to win last November.” “How did the comedian, actor and political provocateur of the early 2010s become an influential voice among the alt right?” “‘He’s [broadcast] American alt right ideology, put a kaftan and some mala beads on it and made it spiritual and palatable to his UK wellness audience.’” “Brand has moved over a period of the last ten years from the left to the centre (his spiritual-hippy / ‘wellness-guru’ phase) to platforming the far-right,” Then you could do the briefest of Twitter searches to see who mostly aligns with Russell Brand. But again, it’s just me, the looney lefty, that thinks Russell Brand has become a right-wing grifter. Righto."

Leaving hanging questions is a great technique to lead people to a conclusion while making them them think they got there all by themselves. Works especially well on thickos and conspiracy theorists

Seems to be a pretty strong correlation between the site loons and those supportive of what Brand does and what themes he pushes. You could pretty much exactly predict what side they would fall on with this and pretty much every issue. Of course that's just a coincidence as those free-thinking individuals couldn't possibly all be being manipulated in the same way to come to the same conclusions. That's for the sheeple and MSM.

"deanjcrawford 6:53 Wed Sep 20 OK, then we see things differently. I can't speak from an American's point of view because I'm neither American or in America. I don't see what he says - or how he says it - as remotely right wing I like the fact that he uses questions to highlight something rather than tell his audience what to think, when to think and how to think; you may feel he's doing exactly that, but that's nothing to do with how I see him. Nothing wrong with leaving hanging questions for the viewer to answer. In my experience a left leaning presenter would simply state something and expect his/her/their audience to accept it on account that he's some sort of (self-proclaimed) expert on the subject. Brands videos are clearly not single take jobs and, watching his eyes he certainly seems to be reading off some sort of cue system, which simply makes him a top-notch communicator, rather than an expert on the subject matter. In my eyes though, that matters not so long as he gets people asking questions - the more awkward the better."
