General Election - July 2024

This appears to be the rumour on Sky. An easy win for Starmer and some big names losing their seats. The Country needs a change but is it going to get one? The thought of seeing that annoying Beth Rigby for 6 weeks though is a horrifying thought.

"I didn’t say it was the greatest city, you asked me for one better than London and I gave you a list. You’ve decided to focus on Lecce. You ignored Vienna & Zurich & Copenhagen. London isn’t the greatest city in the world by any metric. If I wanna live with Muslims I’ll move to Bangladesh thanks."

You just seem to not like Muslims or Africans (specifically Ethiopians) How to tell someone you are Italian without saying you are Italian

"I’m not bad mouthing anywhere I’m sure it’s a very pleasant little city But it’s not the greatest city in the world by ANY metric is it? You’d probably have London, New York , Paris & Tokyo in any conversation Haven’t been to Tokyo though I’d like to but the other 3 are great cities … probably in the order London , NY then Paris"

"When you refer to somewhere as being the Florence of the South or the Athens of the North say you are admitting it’s a little bit like a more interesting place It’s just like watching Brazil , innit"

How long do you think it will be before Starmer tries to off-load the Olympic/London stadium?

"Chim are you mental? It’s widely known at that. Here’s wiki for you: Because of its rich Baroque architecture, Lecce is nicknamed ""The Florence of the South"".[7] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lecce Otherwise: https://pugliaeveryday.com/travel/lecce-a-beautiful-baroque-city-known-as-the-florence-of-the-south/"

"Goose, with due respect where you or I want to live is meaningless. New York in the 80s was one of the most dangerous cities on the planet. Didn't stop it being a global financial centre full of millionaires. Suppose my point is it would take A LOT for financial elites to ditch London and don't think even this Labour government could do that. Although I agree with David ""my ancestors were slaves"" Lammy representing us to the world I'm sure they'll have a good go at it."

"So, is the house claiming that you have access to all global cuisine within one hour, in whatever part of the metropolis you live? That's gotta be worth a few carbon saving points right there as the mainly white, male population no longer have to visit the actual countries to sample their cuisine, no? Win-bonkyflip-win, that one. You do all know that all this ""ethnic"" cuisine has been westernised and therefore no longer ""authentic"", don't you? London is greatest because you can sample non-local culture? Yeah, right.: even joyo's ladyboy neighbours will have softened their act (and they still scare the sit out of him))"

"goose 5:24 Sat Jul 6 Lecce is NOT the 'Florence of the south'. Santa Croce looks like it was designed by Disney. It's a nice place but let's not get carried away, there is 1000% more Renaissance and Baroque art in London than there. I'll concede you've got better ice cream."

I wouldn’t wanna live in NY or Paris either. That doesn’t make London the greatest city on earth. London’s rate of violent crimes is worse than New York isn’t it?

"Sven has a point tbf, regardless of crime etc London has a prestige to it, same with Paris and New York, both at least on par with LDN for crime and fifth. Never been to Frankfurt and sure its got its good stuff but everyone (EVERYONE) I know who went a couple of years ago with West Ham said it was a shithole Small Italian cities are great but they're not financial hubs. Don't see Goldman-Sachs setting up offices in Chester or Bath."

There’s also a renowned opera house and open air opera. Not forgetting where opera actually comes from…….

"The one thing I want more than anything else from this lot is that they move a fair share of the dingy enthusiasts to areas populated by middle class virtue signalling 'let em in' types. This of course will never happen, we are heading into dark(er) times. BTW, can anyone confirm that Swiss uses the username 'come on you irons'"

Sven you’re just showing yourself up as a small minded fool. Lecce is known as the Florence of South because of its history in art and architecture. Stick to your Nando’s and Costa coffee.

"BRANDED 4:51 Sat Jul 6 Disgraceful, isn't it. The FPTP voting system is an utter disgrace and it is not fit for purpose in relation to democracy. Labour has two-thirds of the MPs based upon a 34% vote share and 60% turnout. So four in five people didn't vote for them yet they are in government with a massive majority. And they wonder why many people don't bother to vote. It will never change though as the current system favours Labour and the Tories and returns ""strong and stable"" governments. I.e. Labour and the Tories' position is essentially ""fuck democracy"" as the current system benefits us. Our democracy is a sham."

Proportional representation & compulsory voting The government seemed to reject these boons to democracy which are in place in Australia Only seemed interested in adopting Stop The Boats

To each his own The range of London restaurants & cuisines vs Lecces pasta restaurants And of course women in Italy are NEVER bothered by Italian men on the street. Such a respectful group of individuals Must get there one day & check out the Lecce National Gallery & take a look at the Lecce Opera House & Harbour Bridge

Some numbers that show how our democracy works. All available for you all to analyse. Ed Milliband got elected with a 45% turnout and 52% of that or 23% of his electorate He's now climate secretary with immense power to fuck us all. Shabana Mahmood now justice secretary 43.7% turnout 42.5% of that or 20% of her electorate Yep. That's democracy.

"Sven, bankers will follow the money. Be it Frankfurt, Dubai or Singapore. I mean how will they live without Nando’s? I prefer Lecce because it’s much safer, the food is better, the architecture is stunning, the weather is better, there’s a sense of community, and women can walk the streets without some Eritrea making a ‘ttsssk ttsssk’ noise at them."

The public has seen through the lying cunts that the Tories are. Brexit an absolute shambles which has delivered fuck all but pain and suffering . Not one benefit . Immigration was one of the key reason people voted for Brexit and it’s gone up. Btw illegal immigration by boat is very small percentage of the total. Still you love the Express and Mail headlines you bunch of racist thick Tory cunts
