"Nutsin 5:03 Sat Aug 17 Have to respectfully disagree about Stavros as the worst player and based on yesterday he was certainly as good as Kilman. That said, he did have a poor preseason and prone to ricketts last season. But did play pretty well when given a run in the team. He will make way for Todibo so a decent squad option imo"

"fraser - Yep, I know from your previous comments how much you wanted him. Usually you end up forgetting about a target and moving on, but I fear this has been a fuck up of huge proportions which is going to cost us, it's really not good at all. Chelsea just paid close to 60 mil for a cripple from Wolves, Spuds 65 mil for Bournemouth's striker, this fella looks like he was worth pushing the boat out for, but it's gone now."

"Manuel - Agree a massive fuck up, he's the player we've needed for at least 3 years, great finisher, great movement, presses brilliant from the front, has pace. Everything we've been looking for and desperate to join us. According to a couple of Villa fans a better finisher than Watkins too, he has a much better goals per minute average.. He's fucking just 20."

"Was looking for a performance yesterday, didn’t get it, they were better, they had pace, middle of park non existant and our right was poor, early days"

"I’m trying not to read too much into yesterday, but the midfield certainly lacks legs. If Connor Gallagher is still stuck at Chelsea by the end of the window he might be a good option. I’d get rid of JWP, he offers nothing at the moment apart from corners."

"Sydney - No, he looks the real deal to me and will only get better. His attitude is part of what will make him what he is. As for still hoping we will sign him, I think you need to look deeper into things rather than just seeing everything as black and white. Villa have just sold a striker (Archer) they have given Duran the number 9 shirt and his price has now gone up. The ship has sailed."

"Bit early to say Duran was a fuck up isn't it Manuel? it's one goal, yes, he took it well, but he is still considered second to Watkins by Villa, and also like our performance its a bit early to draw conclusions. Seen Villa fans comment on Duran over the summer, he can be a bit of a scattergun, none that upset if he had left but all saying he had bags of potential, but a bit of attitude as well! Hes 20, could go either way as far as i can see, be top drawer or in the Championship/back in Soth America in a couple of seasons as well. Obviously if we sign him, im hoping for top drawer, mind you with our luck, we wont and he will!!!"

"I hate to say it but the club have fucked up massively with Duran, wasn't it just around another 5 mil on top? It still looks like it would have been cheap for a player like that who is still only 20, we have ZERO chance now. I'm afraid it was a massive fuck up that we will now have to live with and are left with all forwards over the age of 30.."

Told you all this transfer window has been terrible. Maybe some of you will begin to realise this after today's shocking performance.

If I’m selling Stavros followed by Ings are the first two I’m getting rid of. Stavros is the worse player on the team and zings is being paid way too much. Which is why we are stuck with him.

Irving seems to be getting a lot of interest.

"Well i hope we shift a few now, and before we bring anyone else in, or we will end up like Newcastle have with a bunch of players they need to shift but are having problems doing so, mind you some are on lucrative contracts so not that keen to take a big pay cut!"

"fraser - Fair enough, the general opinion reading down seems to be not fussed about Soler, but each his own, looks like we want to shift one or two out first anyhow."

"Manuel - Angry? Not angry at all,, and definitely agree to disagree. I also agree he was hopeless in a lot of games, that was my point as when he was so we're we but we had nobody to replace him with.."

Lop will no doubt make full use of subs…tactically and as needed during all game… Not wait until the last few minutes like Moyes used to do… It’s the modern way…

"I think the fundamental thing about Loppy is that he will look to keep the pressure on for the full term of the game.....so Soler along with Paqueta will help with this.....is what I'm thinking his logic is. Paqueta is the player that will be our prominent link from defence to attack, take him off and it will be backs to the wall.....have Solar in the squad and they can fight it out for both a place AND form......."

"To rid ourselves of Soucek, Coufal or JWP may be warranted and justified if we needed them gone to balance books for signings or if they were wanting out. Other than that, they need to be retained to be part of a strong squad. Them gone would dilute the options for the manager. Whether you see them, or Antonio for that matter, as first 11 or not, they still offer us solid alternatives. The likes of Cornet and Ings is another matter."

"Personally I don't think much of the idea of getting Soler. He's a decent passer for sure, especially with those defence splitting through balls, but apparently he's not a great dribbler and he can't tackle either. I don't see him as that much of an upgrade on JWP, and like him most of Soler's goals and assists have come from dead ball situations. If JWP can be sold for a decent amount then fine, otherwise I'd rather go with Kudus as the no 10 if we need to replace Paqueta for a long period."

Some of our supporter's are Sullivans wet dream . Don't plead poverty on his behalf. Remember how cheaply he got the great sleeping giant of London for .

"If any attack minded team wants to walk through our team then all they need to do is get past JWP, Souk and Coufal who are all past their prime and slow beyond measure. I love the Czech boys and all they have done but they are slow beyond measure right now."

"Why does everyone keep saying we have blown our budget and need to sell Kudus (his buy out clause is next year). We've spent £74.6m after deductions from players sold (Todibo is a loan to be paid next year), sauce OP re Mex Martillo. The level of maths is atrocious on here, if Sullivan reads this he will need incontinence pants."

"fraser 4:15 Fri Aug 16 Completely disagree with that. Paqueta was poor for much of last season, in many games shocking, and why are you assuming Soler would be a good cover for him anyway, you seem to know a lot about this player?? No need to get angry, just agree to disagree."

Zouma is going nowhere. It was well known he was broken when we got him Our Medical must be the easiest to pass than anywhere else. Do they even do a medical or just if they can walk in the door they are in. We can't even give him away.
