The only positive thing I could say about Potter last season, is the we never looked like being tonked under him and we always seemed to be in the game, even though we were losing pretty much every week. There were no other improvements I could see.
The season, I can't even say that.

this cսnt has played Bowen out of position almost every game since he took charge
He's fucking ruined him. He looks broken out on the pitch now. All the goals, assists and creation has completely dried up whereas last season there was a constant supply of it. 14 goals, 10 assists to 0 in just 6 months.
I also thought Bowen fronted and conducted himself very well when questioned after the game under the circumstances. He deserves some much better than what our tin pot Club offer him.

Why doesnt he just fuck off, probably already has enough money to see out the rest of his life and he can go off and bang gongs all day.
Any idiot off the street can set us up for Wolves.
I hate myself for thinking he might have been any good.

I've got a feeling that Roshane Thomas gets right under Potters skin in the Pressers. I might be mistaken but I think it's Thomas that rattled him last night and it was him in the Brighton Presser as well that got the infamous - if you want me to swear, I can swear - meltdown out of him also. Always so shitty with him even though he questions him in the right way. Makes me think fuck me, imagine what he'd be like if questioned in the Dressing Room full of players..

the best (my favourite) managers always played to the strength of their squads. Clough was quite vocal about telling his less technical players to "Get the ball back, and give it to Robertson". this cսnt has played Bowen out of position almost every game since he took charge

All the deep breathing and face rubbing are tells, he’s struggling with the pressure. Simon Jordan was right to call him flaky.
we look clueless at both ends of the pitch and I don’t see him changing that. It’s just a question of how many games they want to waste on this personality vacuum.
If he couldn't handle the heat managing Chelsea, then there's no way he could handle the heat here. There's just as much pressure managing them that there is with managing us.
He looks a dead man walking. He has done since the end of the first game this season.

I think a different manager would get more out of these players. I do not understand why he persists with his 5 at the back.

What he needs to do, for us not to get relegated.
1) Reinstate Areola.
2) Play 4 a the back (buy a CB that allows you to).
3) Play Bowen in his best position.
4) Buy 2 new central midfielders.
5) Buy a decent striker.
None of that is likely to happen, though. He has to pretty much admit to everyone he's an awful manager and everything's he's tried to implement has been a complete failure.
It's true that we did finish 7th in Roeder's first term but it was a huge anomaly in a very strange season when the Prem table was extremely condensed from 7th to around 16th place. We had a decent end of spring run which propelled us to that lofty position but we were 15th/16th place fodder for most of that season until the final 5-6 weeks.
People always seem to feel the need to belittle Roeder's first season and make up stuff that wasn't true. We were 15th/16th only up until December, not the final 5-6 weeks. We were very strong at home all season, getting 40 points in total, which we've only beaten once in the last 30 years. Let's not forget that we'd only finished above 7th four times in our entire history, and only once since then.
The season wasn't an anomaly at all, let alone a huge one. It was pretty par for the course in those days when clubs were on a much more even standing financially. We finished 7 points clear of the 10th place team, 13 points ahead of 16th. Two years later the 7th place team was just 3 points above 10th and 12 points above 16th.
Then there's the stuff about Brooking getting 10 of our 42 points the following season. Wrong again. It was 7 points. And we weren't exactly in freefall before Brooking came in. Roeder had picked up 18 points from the previous 11 games before he became ill, which is top 6 form. And in the end we finished with the same number of points that Redknapp had 2 years before.
Roeder was simply nowhere near as bad as Potter has been.

I understand the root cause issue is the running of this club, however… Potter made the decision to bin Potts despite a good pre season, signed the new goalkeeper and replace Areola overnight but the worst part is too stubborn to change a formation that is out dated and that we don’t have the personnel to execute. oh and brining in Soucek last night next to his best mate JWP. He also plays more defensive players than Moyes yet we’ve shipped 8 goals in 2 games. Not rocket science the bloke is a fraud

Sack him now and let whoever set us up for Villa have an audition at Wolves.

I watched a few videos of his time at Chelsea, mouthing off in press conferences. I saw through him very quickly, gaslighting the fans about the board backing him. That his football is horrendous just adds another level of shit to how bad he is and the situation we're in

Watch this rude cսnt eyeballing one of the Journos and get short with him for simply asking a question...
I'd be tempted to launch my laptop at his head if he acted like that.
Not that it matters, but quite a big chunk of the football press pack hate him and think he’s an arrogant, rude no-mark. Spoken to quite a few of them, and they can’t figure out how somebody so devoid of success acts like he’s Mourinho!
Oh that's interesting, although not at all surprising having watched his carry on at times. Like you say, it's 1 thing having a decent career in the game managing doing it, but him?! Do me a fucking quaver, Potter..
Just look at the state of him just as he sits down, he looks like he's full on balled his eyes out in 1 of the staff toilets before honouring his media commitments reluctantly. Geezer's a wreck.

As the pressure goes onto Sullivan then Potter will be ditched
Possibly after a similar result against Tottenham with a Kudus hat-trick
Sullivan will then appoint another gormless gimp
Rinse & Repeat to Relegation

=12.35pxThat utterly wank 3/5 at the back Formation has got to go. The players aint all that good but fuck me does this Formation expose everything bad about them.
=12.35px4 at the back and at least 3 in the middle of the park I'd say would be the way to go but others may disagree. Can't personally stomach another showing of 3 at the back though. It's killing us leaving us so exposed. Whether Potter is somehow still here or not.

Sullivan will be loving Potter taking all of the brunt of the anger for this. I bet he can’t believe his luck. The latest scapegoat is well and truly lined up to be thrown under the bus while he can feel like a hero and go ‘I had to step in for the good of the club…’ ‘I knew I just couldn’t back him in the transfer market.’ Perfect. Keeps everyone off his back a little while longer.
Our fan base is fucking pathetic these days. I attempted some anti Sullivan sentiment from my seat in the ground (season ticket in the London Stadium home end before any of the stalking, smart arse, cyber bully losers on here pipe up) and the apathy was palpable.
What a fucking shocking fanbase it is these days.
It's the WHU great replacement. And I don't miss a bit of the freak Circus Show what they've turned us in too. Good luck to you for still going but I couldn't stomach giving those bastards another penny.
Really not looking forward to the rest of the 18 games left.

Sullivan & his whore Brady are responsible for killing the club
Potter is just another of their wrong choices
He is basically Gareth Southgate without the personality & get up and go

I think COYO has a point. Imagine at the Boylen what this 5- 1 drubbing would have gone down like? A plate of cold sick and the manager and board would of had some real stick. Now in the bowl they can dilute the passion with people just trying to get out of the place before the rush .
Very sad.
