"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Burnsie you slag! Do you think you might actually beat us once this year?

"I love watching a proper Henry trample fest. He has a rare combination of size, speed and agility. I might have been early this season or late last when he was breaking on the outside and cut in deliberately to stiff arm a safety on his arse. It must be demoralising for the opposition defence when he is on a big day."

Sheesh Burns...are the Broncos tight on the salary cap or something? Or is this just a refresh involving a clear out of older players on big deals? Two Day 2s might be OK if they are early enough picks and you free up big salary space.

Disappointing to hear that about Henry. I do like watching him drag about five opponents 20 yards every few carries. The guy is a beast.

"Rams are all in on this year. They only have 3 draft picks left for next years draft. A 3rd, 5th and 7th rounder""¶. 3rd is a compensatory pick so it is at the end of the 3rd. That will come back to bite them in the ars! Miller is old and expensive, bad move really! Good news for the Niners!"

Derek Henry to have foot surgery. That is probably it for the season.

"What?! That's fucking nuts. Unless it's to avoid the loyalty/roster payment if he's still there in Jan/Feb. There's probably a similar figure due then, too, which maybe the Rams will pick up? Otherwise, that makes absolutely no sense."

"Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Broncos are paying $9 million of Miler's remaining $9.7 million salary."

"TM - your kicker's name is a headline writer's dream! Bit of a brutal weekend for injuries - including fears that the best running back in the league has a broken foot. Henry is having a scan later today. Vikes lost Hunter to another injury, Saints lose Winston at QB to a 'significant' injury. You know the season is in full swing when the injuries start to pile up. Our O-line is just a patch-up, not that anybody would know because the rest of our game is so poor generally!"

"At fecking last! Managed to score some first-quarter points, and get an interception, too. It's only a win against the stray cats, but it's a start. I like Carter at RB and White at QB played like he had fuck all to lose (which is exactly how a back-up who has never started a game should play). I read that one or two senior folk in NYC read the riot act to Saleh/LaFleur after last week's amateurish showing. I'm still not convinced by Saleh and Ulbrich on defense - gave up another 30+ points even when winning today. This is a head coach with a LOT still to prove - especially on his favoured defensive side of the ball. Still think he needs to start calling plays there. Still - a win is a win is a win...good day to be Hammer and a Jet."

What a horrific call to gift the jets a first down! Receiver lowers his head as the defender tries to make a tackle and they flag the receiver for helmet to helmet?!
