"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

The Browns and Chargers are looking good this season.

Jimmy G will improve a team. Not sure if a team will ever win the big one with him as a starting QB though.

"We'll have him. He once threw a touchdown, which makes him over-qualified for our current side! In all fairness, I think Jimmy is OK. But then I have watched the Jets for years, so you have to understand this is a low bar."

"I imagine Garappolo will be on the market before long, has to be a better option than many out there, but I'd rather play the rookie at the niners in the hope he's decent, as Jimmy G isn't good enough for the offense we have."

Jones is good QB. Just not a starting one. And this is from someone who really wants him to succeed. Doesn't help when he's protection is auditioning for the Keystone Cops.!

Problem is ownership their is too loyal. Had the same problem with the previous GM. Everyone in the NFL knows that the Mara family are good guys.(Compared to most other owners.) However a lot of people feel they are also too nice. It's not a problem that can be easily fixed. By cleaning out the coaching staff.

"Shorty - both sides in New York are so bad at the moment, that it would be hard to pick a combined side that would be competitive in the NFL! What a fucking mess football in New York has become. I sort of expect it of our lot under these owners (twenty years of hell), but your lot are supposed to be the franchise with their heads screwed on..!"

G Men already 0-3. And the Saints next up. Can see a full reboot in the off season. Both Gettleman.(GM) And Jones both being shown the door. Reckon Judge(Coach) might survive by his fingernails. But the natives are restless. And the storm clouds are well and turly opening over East Rutherford.

"Isaac, Yep, I say this through gritted teeth, but I would have called pass interference against the Raiders on that play. The Fish were robbed there. I dream of .500 seasons, btw!"

"watching my mob was painful last night. as much as I like heinicke, it was noticeable on multiple plays that he was struggling to read the field because of his height. add that to the abysmal play calling and you have a recipe for disaster where the defence never gets off the field. del rio seems set to continue with a zone coverage scheme that the players can't understand/perform and rivera's unwillingness to sign a couple of experienced line backers has left us short through the middle. lose to the falcons and we'll be picking in the first five next april"

"I guess everyone has a bad pass interference call story, but that no call on Will Fuller in overtime was a shocker, and hard to take. Flores didn't seem to make nearly enough of it either. You can be sure that Gruden would have been in the umpires face unleashing a stream of red faced obscenities. Another .500 season or thereabouts season I reckon."

"Massive problems remain at the Jets and, after another humiliating shutout loss against the Broncos, the season is already dead and buried. Not that anybody felt we would be competitive this season. But I genuinely think that the massively inexperienced group now in charge of team affairs have made us get worse - hopefully before we gain a bit of experience and get better (a J-curve effect, we hope). But two big worries: Saleh is not calling plays on either side of the football which, for a brand new HC, is not good enough I'm afraid. He has never been a HC and he needs to reverse that decision quickly. You can't just wander into a franchise and decide you're going to be a CEO-type coach and delegate everything when you don't have the experience that allows you to do that. He's trying to run before he can walk - and, the history of the NFL shows, that tends to end badly. He should at least call the team's defensive plays - he was a DC at Frisco and a damn good one. Secondly, Wilson has so far shown absolutely no indication that he's an NFL quarterback. Admittedly, he's extremely young and he has had almost zero protection from an awful offensive line. So he's getting beaten black and blue before he has even learned how to play at professional level. So I don't blame the kid - he needs better protection from his team and coaches (including his hands-off HC). But even that considered, when he's had time to throw the ball and make decisions, he has not looked good. In fact, Darnold started his Jets career looking more like an NFL ready QB. Everybody has been prepared to let the Jets build effectively from scratch and improve over time. New-ish GM, new HC, new QB and new key players in key positions. And I'm sure that will remain the case for at least a little while. But at some point you have to show signs of life. And there are none so far. Zero. The owners have appointed a lot of people who talk - a lot - about the game. But at some point this season, those people (including Saleh and Wilson) have to shut up, and put up. Show us something - anything - Jets. Or this will quickly begin to look like the Mangini, Todd Bowles or, dare I say it, Adam Gase (spit!) era! I genuinely can't look at a single part of the team in the first three games and say that there are promising signs with any of them. When the team was as shit as it was under Gase - and it really was one of the worst NFL sides I've ever seen - then you're building from a very low base. So you'd expect to see something, anything, that indicates you're heading in the right direction. So far, nothing."

Some of these pass interference calls need VAR as well. Some shockers against both teams for big yardage.

This niners D is üê∂üí© Not helped by the 4 main RB's all being dead so zero running game and an average QB meaning the ball is straight back.

"Whenever you think you've reached your lowest point in life, just remember: you are not the New York Jets. This brave new dawn under a HC who barks a lot and never (yet) bites is going really well. Saleh isn't calling plays on either side of the football. He might as well just fuck off."

"holstebro, I hate scott turner. he's so bad and only in the job because of his old man. not that del rio is doing much better. this is honestly as bad as the worst I watched under gruden. rivera kept on the roster, an explosive little running back called jarett patterson, that cսnt turner refuses to use him - instead using a catching/3rd down back instead from the backfield"

Absolutely Takashi. I am absolutely fuming. The defence are piss piss piss poor. Bloody Joke. I don't blame Heineke. He's in a no win situation. That drop right there by Dyami Brown should have him out. So fucked off. I could go on. But. Fuuuuck

"I'm switching between the Ravens and Colts games. Jackson there two beautiful passes at the end of the first half, both inexplicably dropped by Brown. As for the Titans, Derek Henry is ridiculous. He gets hit multiple times and just keeps going. It's unbelievable how he has taken so many hits over the years and still keeps doing the same thing."
