Lee Trundle Stop being tedious pal. The likes of Coutts have been dropping clients for centuries. Politics doesn't come into it. They only want the wealthiest and most influential clients because that's the way they make real money. If Farage was dropped purely for political reasons then they deserve what they get but take my word for it. They drop the smaller clients because they give a personal service for the richest in society. I was miffed when I got dropped by a private bank when I moved my pension funds overseas but that's been going on long before Farage...

My point being that these banks market themselves as bankers to the elite. Minimum levels of cash limit applications from the wrong type of people but hoover up the nouveau riche… It probably wasn’t political. It was probably just maintaining their customers to ‘elite clients’

Sorry Lee but show me where Surface said Farage met the bank’s commercial criteria? I have experienced being dropped by a snobbish London bank for commercial reasons and it’s annoying. Coutts is the 8th oldest bank in the world. It thrives on an elite status of being bankers for the richest and most influential people in the world. Farage makes a big fuss about it but let's face it. Farage is not longer the right kind of client. He's a radio chat show presenter without enough money to justify banking with them. Brexit probably has fuck all to do with it and no I haven't bothered reading up on it. It's who you know and your family background with banks like Coutts. Farage is just upset at not being elite enough for them any longer I'll wager.
