"Always comes back to Sullivan. That’s the biggest risk in anyhing we try to do, any true progression to becoming a professional, well run and modernised outfit. “A fish always rots from the head downwards”. I was hopeful that at 76 years old he would step back especially after appointing Steidten. No clear signs of that. Unprofessional as ever as winessed by the Portugese fella having an interview at Sully’s gaff. Is Sullivan still the proverbial “milestone around our neck” ?"

Best not to mention Michael Carrick - the WHO football muscle-minds will accuse you of not having a clue.

Is this the same Carrick who is treading water in the Championship. Somewhere near Scotland.? It’s Amorim.

If it’s in Black and White. There won’t be any discount.

"I doubt that Amorim has put off clubs solely because of his formation/tactical set-up. When did that really ever stop a club appointing a successful manager? Conte has built an entire (often winning career) on 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. I think there were some lingering doubts about Amorim (not from our perspective, but Liverpool's) because of the relative lack of strength in the Portuguese league. Which is odd because they've now appointed somebody from the Dutch league - which is perhaps weaker. But logic often goes out of the window in football. Amorim is also not everybody's cup of tea. He's a little full of himself, plus there's a feeling that his approach may be more suited to the southern Med - and that he might end up at one of the big Spanish or Italian sides anyway. Personally, I like the cut of his jib. But it seems that he's not enamoured with us - which is now the biggest stumbling block. But who knows? If he doesn't get an alternative big offer, he might still decide to jump into the Premier League. He has to weigh up Champions League football at Sporting against the much bigger wages he would get managing us - and what he thinks he can achieve at West Ham. There are many moving parts with all of this at the moment. The guy I don't really know a lot about - and who Steidten has been linked with - is Hoeness. What's he like - anybody know? Personally, if I were West Ham this summer, I'd be taking a long, hard look at Michael Carrick. IF we decided to go after him, we'd be favourites to land him - and I just have a feeling that he's the one ex-member of that over-rated ""Golden Generation"" who will be a fine manager. His style is very John Lyall - and we could do with some of that! You never can tell, of course, because Carrick has only managed two seasons in the Championship. But he has done a superb job - hindered massively this season by key injuries. And he ""gets"" and knows both West Ham and English football. As always, there's a lot of attention on supposed ""sexy"" names from across Europe. But many of them turn out to be Poundshop Peps. Just look at ten Hag at Man Utd, who is still struggling to understand even the basic requirements of English football after spending a Gazillion on some absolute dross."

There has been talk of Man City wanting to offer less ... of course we would quite possibly agree and then they can also negotiate extended payment terms Not out of the question and then we'd hear player wanted to go due to TURNED HEAD blah blah

"Paqueta has a buyout If Man City turn up with £85m on the first day of the buyout & he wants to go its done once the whole £85m hits our account No stretching, no nothing Saw a couple of social media posts saying Kudus DOESNT have a buyout. Will find out soon enough"

"Sullivan's summer transfer operandi has always been to bring players in late He can't abide the thought of paying them in the off season Ideally you would give the manager the summer to integrate the new players, not our chairman, he's too tight"

"Plan will have to be Steidten and team getting players and hope who is appointed, in late July / early August it we’re lucky, is retro fitted to type of player recruited. Manager might be Moyes at this rate :-( Ok hopefully not but Sullivan waiting until almost June to chat to Moyes, then board meeting. Then offers, rejections, more offers and we’re into July. Season starts in August. Its not beyond the realms of possibility based on West Ham and especially the last 14 years of Sullivan and Brady. Lets hope Kretinsky, Gold’ son-in-law or other shareholders have a sense of urgency."

"If we turning our noses up at one of the hottest properties in management because he favours a 3-4-3 formation due to some of the shit players we have at the club who might not fit it, like Soucek and Coufal, we might as well wrap the club up and all enjoy our weekends doing something else."

"Bit gutted with the Ipswitch result last night as that almost certainly means they are up and you'd suspect thats Kieran McKenna staying there What he has done there in two seasons is nothing short of outstanding I think he would be right up there on my list if we don't get Amorin. Plays youth, clearly a fantastic coach and plays nice football to boot He'll be at a top side soon enough"

Moyes is attracting Sparta Moscow attention. According to this morning’s Mail. It’s good to see the board doing its bit for the war in Ukraine.

Too paraphrase the great classical pianist Eric Morecambe. “I have got the right letters. But not necessarily in the right order.!”

Of the ones mentioned my least favourite choice by far is this loppytuppaware fella. I can only forsee that one ending badly for all involved. So many better options out there. So it's gonna be him isn't it
