"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"my device isn't compatible so that's why the app is no good for me. luckily I've worked out the perfect pre draft order, whether it translates to a twelve man league remains to be seen but it was perfect in my last four nfl.com managed drafts :.)"

"Weird, the app seems to work fine for me. Can always just do it on the internet i assume rather than just the app?"

"Crystal, I'm at the England game so won't be back to draft. I'll just play with what I get allocated - probably better odds than if I drafted. Apologies if this means a bit of a hold up each round. Also found the app wasn't downloading this year."

"crystal, I can't access the draft tomorrow as I have trouble downloading the app but I've preset my draft order so it should work very quick taking the best available at each position I've picoed"

"Just caught up with Hard Knocks. Was struggling to watch Dallas in it but it whets the whistle for the new season and helped to get me in the draft frame of mind for the Fantasy draft tomorrow. Nice to see an English fella doing so well in the NFL, even better that he has a WHO link. Seems to have a lot of attributes that will make him a good leader. Great communication and clearly respected by his players. Might have to get out of Mike McCarthy's slipstream at some point though. As for Dallas' team, I am quite heartened watching the series, I don't think they will be a massive threat this year. As good as Dak is, the amount of injuries he has had is ridiculous. Demarcus Lawrence Is a fantastic player to have on the team. Good player and genuinely invested in the younger players round him. Great to see."

"pretty brutal cut day for my mob. ron making a couple of questionable decisions, the biggest not bringing in another kicker but the biggest positive is all but one of the rookies making the roster. my one remaining hope is he stays as far away from newton as possible. nothing to do with him as a person, but we finally have some good depth at running back/receiver/tight end and the thought of a running qb who struggles to throw with our current personnel would be a disaster"

"Going to be a lot of new tricks in the AFC East this season, what with rookies Wilson and Jones joining the relatively new Tua (first full season as a starter). Allen at the Bills looks like a 15-year vet by comparison. One of those rookies/sophomores will go ballistic. Could be any of them."

"Patsies going all in on Mac Jones. Not surprised - Newton never fitted Belichick's way of doing things. Jones looks like the sort of QB who will listen and learn. Hopefully, our D-line will crush the promising fucker at the first opportunity. ;-)"

"Irons - yeah, Winston could do better than expected as a starter for the Saints. I've always thought there is genuinely a decent QB in there somewhere. Obviously, he tailed off in a big way at Tampa, having been the #1 pick. But in there somewhere is a good QB trying to get out. Maybe Payton will find him."

"southbankbornnbred 12:48 Wed Aug 25 Probably very true, although celebrities love to look gansta until it gets real. But to topic at hand: Winston looks a bit like a quarterback with the Saints. Hopefully that means Hill can slot in an fill some holes in the rest of the offence. The defence has been scary (to me, not to the opposition)"

"Btw, Wilson was 9 of 11 against Green Bay. Not 20 from 25. Hence his stint was short."

IoC - don't get me wrong: it's not exactly plush out there. But it's not among the roughest neighbourhoods in LA. I can imagine what the Lakers and Kings made of it: they were probably getting whinged at by the celebs who love to turn up courtside for photo ops!

"southbankbornnbred 12:16 Wed Aug 25 I remember 20 years or more back, the Kings and the Lakers played in Inglewood or close and wanted out, partly because of the neighbourhood. But things change."

"Another promising, albeit short, showing from Zach Wilson. You never can tell with pre-season games, but he's certainly easing himself into the new system. Completed 20 out of 25 passes and looked like he actually knew what he was doing within a system that seemed effective. Believe me, for the post-Gase Jets that is progress!"
