Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

No-one can read only disagree with that Mike. I expect someone might try because it’s WHO…

Re: Woke watch
"""That's not a stat "" And that is not of primary importance. Kids benefit from growing up in a loving, stable environment. Some, agreed, turn out as bad-un's (edgy and right-on is the hip WHO description of such people, I believe), Real characters at school an' that. Most, though, integrate seamlessly into society. Kids can normally deal with alternative viewpoints by matching them up with the (reasonably stable, slow changing) environment within which they are/feel most comfortable. Parental figures provide much of that stability in their eyes as they themselves are not yet worldly-wise. Mum says don't stick your finger in the flame of a candle for a very good reason. Kids will inevitably try it and soon learn that they need to pay heed to what mum (and dad) says about other things. What we're seeing now is those parental figures being encouraged - forced even - to throw instability at an environment that should be anything but. That encouragement seems to come from people with no direct parental experience of their own - no skin in the game is another way of putting it."

Re: Woke watch
"Here's a stat for you. When my ex- phoned me at my flat in Stockholm and gave me the ultimatum of"" picking our kids up tomorrow or they go into a care home"", ""Care Home"" was never a starter in my mind and I'd already planned the next few days before the phone call ended. I think she thought I was some sort of ""jet-setter"" what with living in ""glamorous Stockholm (STOCKHOLM)"" and all that, and would never be able to actually go and collect them (like some sort of parcel the postman couldn't deliver). In all the time the kids were with me I never, ever, mentioned the care home option their mother gave, but it seems that they were aware of it, The bottom line is, if parents (or A parent) give their kids time, love and attention, those kids will, in all probability, turn out to be decent adults. None of those attributes/requirements is dependent on parental marital or sexual status as the only important element of the equation here is the kids - a viewpoint many on here seem unable or unwilling to take."

"""Child and partner abuse statistics in same sex relationships (especially lesbian) are far worse than in normal relationships"" This is a lie, as is the claim that homosexual couples are preferred over hetero-normative ones in assigning children for adoption. The Kremlin narrative is strong in you numpties today."

Re: Woke watch
"Not a lot of mention of the rights of children to grow up in a NORMAL household with a mother and father. Child and partner abuse statistics in same sex relationships (especially lesbian) are far worse than in normal relationships. A bit like statistics that show the high suicidal tendency rate in people who identify as trans, which either stays the same or goes up (or they actually go through with suicide) post surgery. Its also quite interesting to look at the number of gay male couples who state a preference for a son only rather than a daughter. The likes of Debs and westammer are cheering on the destruction of innocent children in the name of a perverted, trendy ideology that makes them feel better, hang the consequences"

"No it's not Deb's. I wrote why in the post you read, a heterosexual couple should be given priority because the research on wellbeing overwhelmingly supports the notion of a child having a mother and father in their life. Men and women are different and offer different qualities which is what benefits the child. It's funny how millions of years of evolution brought us to that point. Almost uncanny."

Re: Woke watch
Hermit you do realise that your assertion that straight couples should be given priority would also be for ideological reasons don't you?

"I agree with that Fifth and the evidence supports it. In reality though, there's no shortage of heterosexual couples willing to adopt babies and despite all the evidence suggesting that it is healthier for a child's development to have a mother and father, gays are often given priority for purely ideological reasons when on reality, they should only be used as a last resort to prevent a child growing up in care."

"Goose There was a gay, Muslim Lord who said something like he thought that the ideal is for a child to be adopted by a, make and a female. However, where that wasn't possible, given there is a lack of adoptive parents, that gay couples would be a far better option than remaining in Council ""care"". All data shows children living in care are disproportionately likely to end up in jail/junkies etc. Surely you'd agree that two loving gay parents would be preferable to being a ward of the state? I mean when those are the two options."

goose 11:09 Sun Jul 16 Re: Woke watch Have a look at the statistics on one parent families and tell me that’s the best start for a kid? Maybe a gay couple would be better?
