Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)

I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season

Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit

We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge

But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

"To be fair to goose & Maverick180, they’re both probably right with regards to their personal back and forth’s. Maverick180 is a bit on the hysterical side, as goose, points out. But, Maverick180 is probably right about goose being a narcissist (well, I’d say he’s high in narcissistic traits). Sorry goose , but that’s how it comes across on here - don’t worry, you’re not alone. I’d say that goose is probably edging the contest, though. This is because I can well believe he is quite a handsome chap, as most Italians are. But please - don’t get any ideas, goose. I prefer my men, how I prefer my coffee. Black ‘n’ strong."

I so wanted rid of Moyes but didn’t really want Lopetegui when we could have picked from several other possible applicants. What a crap performance that was yesterday. We were lucky to avoid a heavy defeat to be honest. Early days I know but fuckinghell his decision making recently does not inspire me with much confidence.

It’s not a knee jerk reaction when you actually know things about the manager and have seen him manage poorly before Is it a knee jerk reaction to say Coufal was shit yesterday cos it was the first game of the season when he’s been consistently shit for over 2 years now

"I assume Maverick is on a wind up. If not, please fuck off to another club with your knee jerk reactions Worst kind of fan"

"Unless Viper speaks spastic I don’t think anyone can reach maverick. Maverick name me another WH midfielder who’s played 150+ games, scored as many goals and had the same success in the league/europe."

"At this point I'm presuming Maverick and COYI are just trolling. They can't be real. First competitive match ever, players been here ten seconds, we lose to a very good side who finished 4th and played some very good stuff and... HE'S SHIT. Embarrassing."

Those players not good enough for the PL have played about 300 PL games between them. Soucek in particular is probably one of our most successful midfielders in the PL era.

Well out of interest at what point would you criticise him for continuing to select players that aren’t good enough Cos I’m fully expecting him to do it in the next game

"maverick180 I actually agree with some of what you're saying but FFS, wind it in a bit. Even Vexed called you out as an embarrassing cսnt on the match thread and that's really saying something because he can be an embarrassing cսnt himself at times. I haven't noticed you on here before this weekend so I assume you are relatively new. I have been on here for many years and I can say without any hesitation that you are by some margin the biggest drama queen that I have ever seen. Returning to what Vexed said to you, do us all a favour and have a word with yourself."

"Who is saying we should keep Coufal or Soucek? Think i for one made it clear Coufal needs to be dropped for AWB and Soucek moved on if we can find a buyer. Good luck to both if we can shift, Coufal maybe not until with have other back up but Soucek is an ASAP in my book you're on a wind-up maverick, if others think im a thick cսnt, nothing new. LOL Crack on though, its the internet, you can be whom ever you want on the Web......."

Correct Nagel But nope I’m a wind up merchant cos I don’t rate a manager that think Coufal and Soucek are premier league quality

"Fucking hell Sydney, you do realise that most people's profiles are now 20 years old or whatever? So he was 23 when he signed up and probably in his 40s now."

"What are your other usernames maverick? just looking at your profile, your 23 and your idols are Di Canio and Dicks, nothing wrong with that but would have thought you would be choosing at least 1 you had seen play as a kid? but these 2 if you really are 23........unless you were at UP when about 2 to see Di Canio and at best an unejaculated sperm in Dicks case! Seem odd picks to me?"

"I can make a case for him at this stage. Continuity. He‚Äôs clearly not a revolutionary and has a right to see what he‚Äôs got in action on the pitch. Villa at home first game was the right place to start for that. We did control the game better in extended spells only could not convert largely because three of the starting line-up just don‚Äôt make the grade in a possession-based approach to the game. He‚Äôs seen what we‚Äôve all seen so if he is still using Antonio, Coufal and Soucek into September, I‚Äôll draw the conclusion he‚Äôs hard-of-learning and a total cսnt. Continuity for the sake of it won‚Äôt cut it."

"We’re all disappointed that we lost. You wouldn’t be much of West Ham fan, if you wasn’t. But there’s a good, logical reason for what we witnessed, that has been spelt out on here by many. I just hope the negative reactions stay on here. Because if the hysterical, moans and groans start happening at the game, then we’re fucked. Let’s not fall into the trap of listening to all the media bollocks about ‘what a great window West Ham have had’ and ‘now they have to do this, that and the other’ . They want us to get all silly bollocks carried away, so then when we don’t hit the ground running (which was always the most likely situation) we have civil war and implode. Then the same people that were moaning about Moyes, will end up with him back (or a carbon copy of him). Fuck that. As they in J Lo country. ‘Tranquilo, Tranquilo’"
