Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Window this close season comes in two parts:

If were looking at names, then I'd suggest that Willy Smallbone is much better than Raphael Onyedika.

The most important question to ask about Elliott, is who is his agent?

They bought Keekez for 64m and Wirtz for 120m, so 40m for Elliot makes sense.

If we were a bit smart, and invested for more than a year ahead, Elliot would be both sensible and smart.
He would strengthen the team and his value most like will go up.

It's not Sullivan though, and I'm furious about it
He's more likely to try and tempt Adam Lallana out of retirement.
I shouldn't even joke about that...

And Elliott would immediately fill an important role in our team, if he can play that CAM slot. But we definitely aren't getting him. No chance in hell. 40 mill is far too much for Sullivan to spend on a young player.

So Brexit didn't completely fuck up your life then if you've still got "a mate" in Brussels.

Sir Alf" wrote: 26 Jun 2025, 10:59 Onyadika has the sort of name we have to go after.  🤭 Who knows if he would be a success? What is his profile? Young, athletic, stamina, physicality but able to pass accurately and a good attitude, plays for the team not himself. Thats what we need in centre mid. In fact we need 2 one a cdm and the other able to get up and down the pitch.   We need a striker, goalkeeper and left back too but getting the 2 midfielders right will give us the biggest improvement ( bang for the buck as the Septics say ) imho
So if we had players with the surnames;

Haas

Onyedika

Hall

Day

Long

You’d be really happy, Sir Alf?

cancel the deal! some bloke in Brussels said he is shit.
In fairness, his data looks ropey as hell (see the link on him in the remour post at the top).

Are they reading who?
ONLY if they don’t sell certain players by a set time. If they are reading over here. “THAT HORSE HAS ALREADY BOLTED.!”

To put that into perspective, Trent got £16.9 million from his signing on fee.

Elliot is a fellow CHERTSEY lad.  I know people who know his old man.

Forget about us signing him.

Elliot would be great but unfortunately will have bigger admirers than us.
This Ondeyika & Stroeykins sound the right profile … get them done
Hopefully just waiting til July 1 to put the write down of 20% of the fee into the next year
Also prefer the Leicester keeper to Relegation Ramsdale
Understand Leicester are in financial meltdown & will get points deducted next season so time to deal while they are desperate

Elliot is a very good young promising player.

doesn’t he play RW though? If he does, you then end up with the same situation we have currently with Kudus/Bowen.

I like Elliott, seems like a really genuine player that just wants games. Has a decent shot, and works hard. It's sad we probably won't even consider getting him.

Concrete bid for Raphael Onyedika according to Sull... eh C&H.
Club asking for 25m, we can only guess what Sullivan bid....?
Loan with an option probably.

We could do a lot worse than go for Harvey Elliott if he’s leaving Liverpool. Two great goals tonight.
