Think its a fairly poor set of QB's in the NFL at the moment with the odd exception compared to years gone by, though understandle considering the hall of fame legends who have retired in the past few years. Interesting to see if we take the plunge ourselves, as I don't mind Jimmy G, but he does make too many poor decisions and is made of plastic."

There is much more to gain for an owner from hiring a black coach rather than a white one as there is for almost all employers in almost all occupations, especially the high profile ones. The social cache is considerably different. The only slight caveat is that it is probably harder to sack a black coach than a white one because if you sack a white coach then you've sacked a coach. If you sack a black coach, then you've sacked a black coach. The scrutiny would be much bigger under the second scenario and may possibly feed into the recruitment process. Maybe Bienemy doesn't impress in interviews and it is as simple as that. I'm sure it also doesn't help that most people think that Reid would have a phenomenal offence without him, but would he look so good without Reid? All that conjecture aside, I would still like to see him given a chance to lead the Eagles because I think he is worth the punt and I love watching KC move down the pitch."

Somebody should take the risk with Bieniemy. Given how many utterly shite white blokes have been given chances as head coaches in the NFL, it does seem a bit weird that EB has not had a sniff yet. I honestly think that if Bieniemy was white and failed to impress at interviews, he would still have been given a chance. I can't, for example, believe that he interviews any worse than Adam Gase does - and that fraud landed two plum NFL head coaching jobs. On another note, I'm breathing a little easier about Saleh at the Jets now that he's officially appointed his offensive team. He's managed to talk not just Mike LaFleur into joining him from the 49ers as OC, but he's brought the 49ers well-regarded offensive line coach, John Benton, with him as well (which was not expected, so is a bit of a minor coup for us). Those two appointments should be significant upgrades on the offensive coaches we've had for the past two years. Now, I'd say our coaching team looks a lot stronger. Fair play to Saleh for managing to convince strong coaches with nice jobs to up sticks and shift across the country to the insanity of Gotham."
