"In the US tv programmes are called seasons, therefore it's 'season' Series is for UK programmes, it aint hard to grasp. No doubt some on here refer to the NY subway as the NY underground. As for Fargo 1 and 2 are superb, I've held back on 3 but will get around to it."
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Why did you correct yourself about ""season two""? I know it's an American phrase but it's better than using the same word to describe both the thing itself and a section of it. People here should either use season, especially if it's an American show, or come up with some alternative."

"one thing that's impressive about season two is the soundtrack, hawley (the series creator) hired a music supervisor called marguerite phillips and her work really elevates the episodes"

Thanks Miike - Thought Thornton was brilliant and Freeman was pretty good once I'd got used to him speaking in an American accent!

"two is also very good, three is the poorest of the three but still worth watching. BBT's performance makes series one the best though"

"This theory I see banded around that if you like series X you will like series Z because it's of a similar theme, is in reality just hogwash."

Andy doesn't come out of it well. Nor does that artist woman. She was a bit of a psycopath using Epstein's guilt to wash her crimes clean. The woman was taking pictures of her 12 year old sister naked in suggestive poses and then painting them after to sell them on. That was how she met Epstein but she was in her early 20s then. Imagine if she wasn't a she and had taken the same photos of a male or female sibling at the same age. It was very fucked up and I can't believe she hasn't been pulled up on it.

Hermit Road I agree a lot people knowingly knowing what was going on and keeping schtum. Like Saville. As I posted before a lot of people in high places involved in this shit. I'd like to see a full enquiry but it won't happen.

"Hermit Road 8:23 Sun May 31 Andy doesn’t come out of it very well! Basically witnesses giving testimony against him on air! If slander, you’d think he might sue Netflix! Also Epstein didn’t commit suicide"

"I've started 'Little Fires Everywhere' on Prime but I'm struggling with my antipathy towards 'Mia'. What a defensive, miserable bitch. I'm hoping her back story turns up soon to explain it all so I can warm to the series a bit more. Otherwise I'll bail."

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
So have any of you given Mr Mercedes a go yet after my recommendation? Well worth it if you're stuck for something to get into.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Apologies fellas but I can't find the documentaries thread so I'll just place this here. Sky have a documentaries section now and there is some good stuff on there. Also on You Tube I've stumbled across a guy called The Modern Martial Artist and watched a few of his videos talking through famous fights like Ali v Frazier and Foreman v Moorer etc. Interesting to see how he talks through each round showing various strategies which when you don't know much about boxing is quite fascinating. Worth watching.
