Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"Darlo Debs 9:35 Sat Jul 8 'Oh this is just mad....farage is your brexit hero...you'd find a way to defend him.if he started murdering babies.' And yet it's you who have just clearly admitted apply one rule for your hero Corbyn and the opposite rule for Farage. 'The bloke was offered an.alternative so clearly not a political decision.' He wasn't offered the Nat West account until after he started to kick up a fuss and senior management at Coutts realised that closing without warning the personal current account of one of the most prominent people in the UK, presenter of a prime-time TV politics show might play a bit badly."

"Farage 100% called Brexit right though, surely you can see that. Country is far better off not having that additional non-productive administrative leech sucking the hard-earned wealth from the tax-payers and handing it to big business (after taking their cut). How the government - and businesses, for that matter - subsequently uses, misuses or abuses that new found freedom is another matter, and they rightly deserve a caning for their actions so far, A million miles from that being any sort of reason to rejoin though."

"She's also just admitted that she, at the very least, gave Corbyn the benefit of the doubt over his lie about the train until it was proved, and yet she insists that Farage shouldn't get the same benefit of the doubt over what he said. An absolute shambles of a position."

"Darlo Debs 8:56 Sat Jul 8 'Hardly given I just explained the rules stated by them.and how he hadn't maintained his savings and was offered another account, it hardly upholds his claim their decision was a political one.' You have no idea what the rules are. In fact, you just asked me what they are. 'Plus you claimed he hadn't been given notice when he had..' No. I said his account was closed without warning. A warning would be, 'Dear Mr Farage, you are not meeting the terms of your account, could you rectify that please'. A notice period is not the same as a warning. For example, 'Get out of your house by tomorrow,' does not constitute a warning. So another fib from you there. 'So unless it's proved he wasn't lying I will celebrate his lie being exposed. If he can prove categorically he wasn't I'll apologise.' Astonishing. So much for innocent until proven guilty."

Re: Woke watch
"Debs What is your evidence for proclaiming Farage has lied? As far as I can see, it's his word against Coutts at the moment, and the matter is under investigation. Given your celebrating, and given the absence of any proof of a lie, we are left with the logical conclusion that you are either celebrating Farage's account getting closed, which makes you yourself a liar, or celebrating the possibility of Farage having lied, which makes you a very odd and embittered person. Both of those alternatives make you an enemy of GOOD GOVERNANCE and the RULE OF LAW."

"Surf he has been given two months and I am.explaining to you that in order to be allowed to go below one million in his main account (current account I assume they'd still call it),. He'd have to.have 3m. of savings in his savings account. He withdrew that, leaving his current account below the necessary threshold."

Re: Woke watch
Surf I think.if you could search that far back.i didn't once it became known he'd lied I.might have before the lie was exposed. Goose you are the one not getting it. You are just being stubbornly idiotic znd ignoring fact and still haven't shown me where I celebrated anything but the exposing of a lie. How is that search for mu supposed post coming along.
Re: Woke watch
The problem is goose Debs hit the nail on head. You’ve stated that she celebrated Farage’s account being cancelled several times. You then said it was further back in the thread. You then said it was on other threads when I said I couldn’t find it. Go on be a sport and show us where that post is eh?

"Missing the point completely Debs. If his (corbyn) account were closed in similar circumstances you’d be questioning it. You’re so consumed by the personality involved you miss the big picture. Like I said below, the circumstances surrounding Farage’s account are being investigated."

Darlo Debs 8:12 Sat Jul 8 'I have consistently openly criticised Corbyn on here and would not defend him for lying had he pulled the same stunt.' Though you did defend him when he lied about there being no seats on the train.

"Debs What a strange question. I have no idea what Farage's balances were at Coutt's Willtell Yes, but that wasn't the reason given for the closing of his current account without warning. Of course, if Coutts and Co can show that every single remaining current account holder meets their terms and conditions for opening an account, all will be well. I seriously doubt if many Coutts & Co personal current accounts have a balance in excess of £1m. For one thing, one of their selling points is a facility that automatically sweeps current account balances into a savings account."

"This is where goose has just shown himself up.for being an absolute fraud. I have consistently openly criticised Corbyn on here and would not defend him for lying had he pulled the same stunt. Not a chance. You keep.throwing this accusation about that I celebrated the closure of farages account, and have been asked twice to.orove it and can't You are just embarrassing yourself"
Re: Woke watch
Surface Ok but it’s possible to run an overdraft and still meet Coutts’ terms and conditions isn’t it?

Re: Woke watch
Surf but isn't that because he should have also maintained 3 m of savings in a savings account he then moved that for whatever reason....thus leaving his account below the threshold.

Re: Woke watch
This thread and others she’s celebrated it. And if you wanna get into it the investigation into closing of accounts is ongoing so no proof of him lying. She’d be the first to be moaning if it were Corbyn getting his account closed down. Same as the thread were she’s wishing smithy well on leaving prison but doesn’t share the same sentiment for others leaving prison when it directly impacts her. Her moral compass is all over the shop.

Re: Woke watch
"Willtell 7:35 Sat Jul 8 There's opening an account. And then there's operating it. Clearly Coutts do not require a £1m minimum balance or they wouldn't have an overdraft charge in their terms and conditions. They would simply bounce any cheques that took the account below the specified minimum. And of course we have the evidence of William Sitwell, who confirms that he operated his account for years without meeting such a requirement."
