"Ted, yeah it gets better. First few episodes seemed like a poor reworking of the film but it improves. Also, all 3 seasons are completely separate and self-contained so you could always try out season 2, which is the best one I think."

We watched the first three episodes of Fargo last night now I know I'm hard to please but do we persevere with this ? I remember not liking the first few episodes of Breaking Bad and ended up loving it.

Quite enjoyed When Heroes Fly and Nobel lately. Both on Netflix.

Do you need to have seen the film Fargo before watching the series?

Just finished season 1 of Fargo and thought it was excellent. Billy Bob Thornton was exceptional in it.

"Finished BCS, as generally stated on this thread not in the same league as BB, but yes it does get better in season 4 and 5 more like BB. Season 6 is the last one next year or whenever the world opens again. Kim Wexler is not in BB, so will see what happens to her character in 6. And talking of Wexler, what exactly was the thinking behind her car crash, it didn't change anything?"

"Swiss. 3:18 Wed May 13 Cheese, how is saying that a program that hasn’t been shown - anywhere in the world - yet is brilliant is ‘showing initiative’ and not ‘being a sad, sad little man desperate to claim some sort of point’? Big hint - it isn’t"

Chernobyl. Probably been mentioned on here before but cant be bothered scrolling back. 5 episodes of 80s bleak Soviet nuclear drama. A bit of poetic license with the storytelling but very much a true tale. It's on Now TV and you can sign up for a weeks free trial so easy to watch with no strings. Fortitiude also good on Now TV (all SKY programmes) but not as good as Chernobyl. A bit more of a made for TV drama.
