Let's try a thought experiment: if a caucasian English child or young person had a sincerely held belief that they were part of the master race and Black people and Jews were beneath them, would you insist everybody at the school/college should be kind to them and not challenge their notions? Remember, these would be sincerely held beliefs about themselves, and the little Nazi wouldn'tbe advoacting HARMING those groups, just that they were not as superior. Do you think the adults should step in and do something about that, or encourage it by not challenging it?"

"I agree with you Debs at the individual level, where that person is just trying to live their life as they choose. You don't have to agree with them, and you don't even have to like it, but an unassuming individual doing their thing should not be persecuted in anyway provided they're not in danger of hurting themselves unwittingly, or others. However, the principle of free speech is to speak out against groups of people, and to be able to risk upsetting those who advocate for a set of counter beliefs by expressing your own opinion, and for the court of public opinion to then have the day. So it really does depend on the specifics. A lot of these so called ""trans activists"" really should back off....they already have parity, they've had parity for a long time and the right to live their lives confirming to the gender stereotype associated to the opposite sex if they so desire. Where it gets outrageous is when current deliberate and sensible distinctions based on sex that referenced gender (since they were used interchangeably) have now been left inadequate, alongside the idea that you can legally pursue a status identity change in law that allows you to invade spaces designed to be single sex and with good reason. Advocates for this deserve all they get frankly and shouting that they feel bullied and persecuted because they don't get their own way should be called out for what it is. They're a minority, they should be accepted as they are, should not receive special treatment or get what they want just because they get a bit shouty, and should not expect exemption from being judged in the court of public opinion at the group level, especially when heading off on a campaign of group promotion that is leading to the physical and psychological mutilation of young people."

Nurse are you genuinely saying its justifiable to not be nice to others just because they genuinely feel they aren't the i same dentify as their assigned sex. I am simply talking on a one to one basis. Like I said Wellby was talking about treatment of other minorities too. I agree that it’s good to teach kids to be kind to confused friends. Unfortunately it always goes way beyond that. How do you explain to a kid that their friend is a girl that thinks she’s a boy or vive versa without explaining why? That’s where the fashion for wanting to be the same begins in one’s own child….

It's only in the past 3-4 years that the trans 'movement' has attempted to re-define centuries of the most basic tenets of mammalian biology and have thus made this a complex issue where it once was not, and by doing so have opened the situation to abuse at both ends of the spectrum. Frankly, I'm always quite amazed to hear or see women having any belief in the trans movement. I suspect in their rush to appear 'kind', they haven't bothered to look into it. EVERYTHING, ansolutely everything, the trans movement stands for, fundamentally eradicates everything that a succession of brave women campaigned so long and hard to achieve in terms of women's rights. And i'd think long and hard about digging in on this - you & your ilk were completely, categorically, 100% wrong on BLM - and those who you decried as intolerant then were completely right. If you stop virtue signalling for long enough to listen, you might learn something."
