"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"SB, but decisions for a lot of teams this spring. one of the skins channels on youtube (there are loads) explained how we could move up the draft to a position where we may get a chance at possibly the 3rd or 4th best QB.I still assume lawrence goes at 1, Wilson or Fields 2, the third pick is where it gets interesting and if Miami to again on a QB outlet someone move up for extra picks. If I was Rivera, I'd offer two firsts and a further second/third to get to that 3rd place. I think Miami are not convinced by Tua and will roll the dice again on whoever out of Fields or Wilson is left"

"TM - yeah, the serious point is that Wilson does look good. His mechanics are very solid and his arm strength and accuracy are good. You can tell he works hard on his game - he doesn't look like a 'natural' QB - like Mahomes - but rather one who has worked extra hard to make sure everything is in the right place and he's conditioned. Many NFL sides could do with that sort of QB. Including the Jets."

"SB, no Wilson is a great kid and why I want him in washington. he's very close with his family and a hard worker I regularly watch film study by this bloke ( The QB School), and here's some videos of the early picks.... Mac Jones https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OgL0w0O5is8 Zach Wilson https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T36Gk6czPio Kyle Trask https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6tcDrgjZ_h4 Trey Lance https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a7WsBY9-phY Justin Fields (3 videos, look in playlists for pts2&3) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=peZTHP7QhXs&t=4s"

"Been reading a lot about the draft prospects for 2021. Zach Wilson looks excellent - but I'm worried about the fact that, at some point, that guy is going to go seriously off the rails in adulthood. Not because he has a history of being a trouble-maker: quite the opposite. He's almost too good to be true and it makes me deeply suspicious. BYU is a deeply religious private university and the bible-bashing students have to sign-up to an ""honour code"" which prevents them not only from the bog-standard requirements of not taking drugs, but also prevents them from having extra-marital sex (no cheerleaders?), drinking alcohol (wtf!) and even drinking coffee and tea (wtf?!). That guy trains all day, every day and will be one seriously wound-up dude. He's going to fucking implode at some point in his life, surely?! He'll probably report for duty in Gotham and, after a few days of living in Brooklyn, we'd find him in the changing room snorting meth off the thighs of a trio of hookers dressed as cheerleaders, one of them a tranny, while necking whisky straight from a litre bottle and mainlining coffee directly into his veins. The lockers will be awash with burning scriptures, porn mags and he'll be using a set of rosary beads as anal plugs. Guaranteed.* *Maybe not guaranteed."

"Crystal - there's a good chance that the Jets will take Smith with the #2 pick if they feel they don't need to draft Zach Wilson from BYU. That will all depend on what the new HC thinks of Sam Darnold. If Darnold stays, then I expect we'll take either Smith (WR) or Sewell (OL) early. I like the sound of Smith, Mims and Crowder as the three 'starting' WRs under a new offensive mind (either as HC or OC). They'll be relieved to be rid of Gase! Could be quite a trio. Although the GM likes the look of Sewell as a bookend lineman."

WR smith from bama wins the heisman. Looks a truly incredible talent. May well be the first non QB off the board in the draft.

"Eagles at no point tried to win last nights game, but probably would have lost anyway as they're shit. 2nd half was potentially the worst half of nfl I've ever sat through and that includes when the niners were bloody awful. Annoying him chopping hurts, as he is pony, but I'd stuck a bet on him scoring 2 TD's and running 50 yards. Got the TD's but was 10 yards short. Fuck you Pederson."

"I did watch it actually. Hurts is hardly a world beater but at least he did a few things with his feet, scored 12 points, and to replace him with a practice squad player is not the action of a coach who is 'playing to win'. Of course there was no guarantee he would run in a third but there WAS a guarantee they weren't scoring any more points at all with Sudfield. Added to inexplicably not taking that FG to tie the game at 17-17 makes it pretty clear. Again you'd understand if they were down by 4, but not down by 3. You'd think exactly the same were they playing anyone but Washington or if the NFCE roles were reversed, so don't pretend otherwise."

"did you watch the game? this fucking world beater who was substituted had 7/20 for 72 yards passing, and ran for 34 yards. yes, he got in the end zone twice but if you'd watched it, there was no guarantee he'd have run in a third. it's hilarious that you cunts can't accept the fact you couldn't finish in front of the team with no name. it's the funniest shit ever"

"Funny how we were just talking about tanking a few weeks ago! That was an absolute tank job by Pederson. To go for it on 4th and 5 instead of kicking a chip shot field goal to tie the game, and then immediately yank the QB for whatever THAT was who came in and replaced him was pretty obvious. There was simply no reason whatsoever to put that guy in the game. He didn't even dress Wentz who- whatever the problems between them- is clearly a better player. Even his own players were angry at him. They'd have been playing for pride at least and not having a divisional rival celebrating in their own stadium."

Hermit Road 2:09 Mon Jan 4 NFL Memes @NFL_Memes · 8h I don't know why everyone is saying the Eagles tanked this game. If they really wanted to lose they would have just played Carson Wentz.

"Miike, We will have to agree to differ. Every question after the game to Pederson was about why he tanked it, Every Eagles podcast today was about whether tanking it was justified. The Commissioner is looking into it and they will probably be fined for tanking it. They benched a QB with massive upside in favour of a proven failure, 3rd stringer who promptly fumbled twice and threw a pick. You're entitled to your opinion, and to be fair, just because you are the only person in the world who thinks that, it doesn't mean you're wrong."

"I think it is fair to say that, when at 3 points behind going into the 4th quarter you bench your starting QB in favour of the 3rd string, soon-to-be-unemployed QB, you are focusing more on the 6th pick than winning the game. Either every other person who watched that game is wrong, or it was a tank."
