The other day, I asked a couple of obvious part-timers/tourists who was playing when they watched us against Chelsea. The only player they could name correctly was Bowen - and I'm sure one of them didn't even know his first name. But they did buy some "merch". So that was great.

It was a good-humoured discussion, but the serious point is that it's worrying. You don't even want to know how they tripped over Wan-Bissaka's name! By the end of the chat, he was dubbed "one potato".

I'm guessing the clueless Tourists you spoke to at the Stadium go by the name of Graham Potter and Bruno Saltor?

Vexed, you boasted about your Pine script momentum trading. The arse fell out the market a few months later. How did that go?

Potter for me. Although it is strange he is still out of work.

It is and in December I was already questioning why no other club had touched him since his Chelsea failure.

I also pointed out his shit PL win percentage but of course you chose not to dig that out.
Oh dear. What a wanker.

VeChain? Get your facts straight. I was the person laughing at the idiot telling everyone to buy it. If I remember rightly you were talking up Bitcoin Cash, how'd that work out for you?! I accept your future apology, twerp.

Eighteenth place. One win this season and just two wins at home in Potter’s nine month tenure.

I've read somewhere that the last time we won at Home was all the way back in February. It sounds so unbelievably ridiculous I still can't believe that's true.

Another one is Glasner has apparently won more times at the London Stadium than Potter has with 3 wins to Potter's only 2 wins.

*Just looked it up, yes it was Leicester at Home back in February who were clearly heading for relegation having had a shocking League season. Wow.

I always knew he was a horrific extremely overrated manager but even those facts blown my mind at just how god awful he is.

Moyes got 2 more games several times because he had “credit in the bank”.

Why is Potter getting 2 more games? How many points does he need to get from those 2 games? What a fucking shambles.

That's why I've previously said that it's a myth these cunts always back their managers. It's yet another lie to try and make them look good. They were so harsh on Pellegrini, Lopetegui and Bilic and yet bend over backwards to keep Moyes (hired twice!) and Potter because these are ideal for them. They definitely have favourites and treat them differently to others.

We can’t even sack managers properly.
Every task gets completely fucked up by this incompetent shower of idiots.

Potter knows how to “manage up”. Thats his great skill. He gets on with his bosses and knows how to talk their language and make them feel good. He knows how to deliver bad news and deflect from his responsibility for that bad news.

He’s thrown valuable squad members under the buss to deflect from his inability to manage the situation. He probably explained to the board that the club was in a dire situation and he wouldn’t be able to turn it around dramatically last season but in the new season with his changes, we’d be flying. Which would explain why they didnt just fire him at the end of the season. Also, probably why he got the contract extension he asked for before joining as he would have said this magical turnaround he’s planning couldn’t be done without a preseason and transfer window etc

He just seems like a typical corporate manager who happens to be leading a football squad instead of some IT team. He pulled their pants down. He also got 40m off Chelsea I believe so he’s probably the most successful manager West Ham have ever had if you think about it!

Let's see if a change of manager somehow sparks a sense of team spirit and pride again.

It's a long shot with this group. But you never know...I guess that's the art of a "good" manager. Not that we've had many in recent memory.

i do think KWP has some fight. He's an honest pro. Hardly saying much though that we can only scramble together two players who have the balls for a relegation.
Yep - got to agree with that. I wasn't a big fan of signing KWP, as I have never been overly impressed by him. Think I had a discussion with Scorch or Eerie on here about it. But I have to say, he's one of the few this season (alongside Bowen) who seems to actually give a shit. He makes his mistakes. But you can see that he has a sense of pride in what he does, and he works hard to correct problems when he gives the ball away or is caught out of position etc.

He can hold his head up. Not sure too many others can say the same at the moment.

KWP might have some fight, but unfortunately he is about 8 stone dripping wet and gets battered about the six yard box like a human pinball.

As for COYI, stop making every thread about you. You’re not impressing anyone.

It's a situation made worse, btw, by the growing number of plastic tourist fans inside that athletics stadium.

Too many in the crowd don't really give much of a shit about the club. They just want to tell their family and friends that they went to a Premier League match. It's probably only 20% of the crowd, but it's enough to kill an atmosphere in an already soulless stadium. We have 50,000 season ticket holders, around 40,000 of whom are probably very devoted to the club. But that leaves a big chunk of the dispersed crowd every week who don't really give much of a shit (and some don't even turn up - hence, white seats).

The other day, I asked a couple of obvious part-timers/tourists who was playing when they watched us against Chelsea. The only player they could name correctly was Bowen - and I'm sure one of them didn't even know his first name. But they did buy some "merch". So that was great.

Have you seen us in most London derbies?

We just roll over and die, mate. With the exception of Bowen, who dragged us back into the game yesterday, there is absolutely no backbone in this side. That's why it's heading for relegation - and why any manager will have their work cut out keeping this lot up.

Potter is a terrible manager. But, make no mistake about it, this group of players is very poor. It is missing precisely the kind of characters who win you derby matches. The sort for whom every tackle in a London derby means something. We're just full of poor players and passengers picking up a paycheck. Ultimately, I think very few of our first team give much of a shit about West Ham. If relegated, they'll just move onto the next side. It's the way of much modern football.
