"Yipee! I've just got word from my local council to say that, because I live in a rural area with such a slow broadband speed, I'm now eligible for a grant to get satellite broadband with a guaranteed download speed of 10Mbps! I know most of you lucky lot live around London but has anyone else any experience of satellite broadband?"

"SecondOpinion ~ It took me ages to work out how to save addons & nobody seemed to be able to advise me After setting the addon you need to click on the button that looks like an ""off"" button in the bottom left corner of the screen, then re-open Kodi/Wookie"

"Northern Sold 3:48 Mon Oct 17 Re: Kodi XBMC You've lost me Second.... when I turn my box on you have the blue start up page from EB yeah?? You then click once on the Apps... click again on Kodi and then you are into full Wookie mode (if you downloaded it that is?).. so that's 2 clicks to navigate?? I'm trying to get my head round how that has fucked up your box?? NS. I get the blue start up boxes. I click on the apps, nothing there. EB swear that KODI is pre installed. So I downloaded KODI, went through start up, go to apps. No KODI. So I download WOOKIE. Go through the same procedure until I find WOOKIE. I start to download ADD ONS, but they are never saved. I've given up and use my MAC via HDMI cable to the TV"

"Just found this on a forum site !!! Re: Amazon Fire Stick and wireless connection Just to update you all in case this is an issue that affects anyone else. As I didnt get a response from anyone despite this thread being flagged up apparently, I managed to get a chat with a talk talk agent to discuss this further online. After some troubleshooting it was decided that they would send us a new router to see if that resolved the problem. It turned out that it WAS the router not being compatiable and the new router installed meant that I was able to use the Fire Setick with constant connection without kicking off the other devices using wifi Smiley Happy This meant the problem did not lie with the Amazon product but with Talktalk. So if anyone has an issue like this, it is possible that a new router is the solution."

WorldCupWilly 12:48 ~ Thanks for that advice. Very much appreciated I just need another adapter (at the same speed) then & I'm ready to go then I'll probably just get another MXIII from Droidsmart (about Ôø?50) as I haven't had any major problems with the present one & it's done the job for me since March this year I'm sure there are better (& more expensive) boxes out there but with our hopeless broadband speed I probably wouldn't have any great extra benefits from paying out more for a better one? I'll probably just put a very basic build on it with the 2 previously mentioned addons

"Ted Had similar problems setting up firestick at my parents house. Kept connecting and then loosing connection. It was to do with router. Try googling your Internet provider and firestick problems. They are with virgin had to turn off Web safe, change Internet channel and change security type I think. Sound complicated but was a 5 min job and didn't affect any other devices. Might be worth a check"

"NS EntertainmentBox have their own start up pages which are a nightmare to navigate. I have downloaded WOOKIE to my T8, but this still requires the need to navigate. Before I downloaded the update software from EntertainmentBox, WOOKIE was the first page."

Be interested to know if anyone else has had problems with Entertainment box updates?? I've never had a problem?? Second opinion... why is your T8 box useless?? Can't you just load up what add on's you like?? If you can't why not do a factory reset ??

"TED: i gave up with my T8 AML V3 box because I downloaded an update from the company I bought from Entertainment Box. The download completely messed up KODI and the settings and I lost loads of ad dons. I was basically left with a fresh start box which was useless. I have KODI on my computer with loads of ad dons and I now run everything from my computer directly to the TV via a HDMI cable. Can you do that? I would say that the T8 AML V3 is a great piece of kit, but run it through your router and don't use the WiFi and DON'T upload software updates from Entertainment Box!!"
