West Ham United is delighted to confirm the signing of England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season. The 28-year-old joins the Hammers from Manchester City and could make his debut in Thursday’s Premier League fixture with AFC Bournemouth at London Stadium.

"he may have been decent at leeds but that's no fucking good to us now. what did we commit to this signing, half a million a week? we have youngsters that would do better than he has for the first two appearances. the jock minge has to go"

Yea I'll look forward to seeing him playing well in 2 or 3 games from now. Noted.

The frustration is the fact that we dont need him. Total waste of finances. So far he looks like a proper backward and sideways passing merchant. Rather have kept Pablito.

I’d be inclined to go with 1964’s sensible suggestion…..

Philips was given 2 hospital balls and he's not yet match fit. I'll give him a chance. Lets see after 2 or 3 more games.

"gilmore - I couldn't give a fuck about his so called reputation, I call it as I see it, and he looks like a fucking comedy player, lazy as well. If he picks up in the coming weeks and suddenly looks like an asset then I'll happily hold me hands up, but he better hurry up since he's only here for a few more months!"

Watched D Rice dominate the Arsenal game today & reminded me of my bemusement when people treated him and Phillips as equals in the England Euros team The truth is that Phillips is the Danny Drinkwater to Rice's Ngolo Kante in the Leicester title winners I guess we will see them together next Sunday and maybe Phillips can change my mind

"This reeks of Sullivan involvement, big name player to razzle dazzle the fans, and sell a few shirts along the way. Totally suit him if he does pull up any trees either, as no pressure at all to buy."

"At least we only have to pay him while he's on the books. Who's clever idea was this? Not Steidten's, as it."

"In my humble opinion, Phillips was given 2 very poor passes in both games, neither one made him the favourite to control and move it on, especially as he’s only played around 90 minutes of football in the last 2 years."

Phillips is a v good player who has barely played in two years. Starting him. Vs Bournemouth was bizarre given moyes habit of keeping new players on the bench for months before starting them.

My first comment on this signing was that it was stupid unless a striker and a winger came along. Management in this club is laughable

"I dunno. I’ve just rewatched that Boogers foul/assault on Neville, for the first time in years. I love the way he wants another slice of Neville, AFTER the horrendous tackle, as if he’s the one whose been the injured party in it all, and Neville is just play acting. Or maybe he literally just wanted to finish him off. Our classic away kit too, and at a time when there was still no love lost between the clubs. Take a bow Boogers SON."

So far he's giving Marco BOOGERS a run for his money for the title of shittest signing ever.
