"Sport Italia EXCLUSIVE: Inter, West Ham relaunch for Zezé: 20 million. For now it's Nantes wall: 30 million or stay Nathan Zezé's transfer to Inter is becoming increasingly uphill. It is known that the Nerazzurri club is evaluating suitable profiles to strengthen the defense, with a view to inserting a player who can replace Bastoni when the latter needs a replacement during the season, but at the same time who also represents a prospective profile for the club. However, Nantes is not giving up on the 2005-born player, at least for now, compared to the initial requests made to his suitors. According to what was collected by the editorial staff of Sportitalia, in fact, the transalpines have sent back to the sender in recent days not only the offer of 15 million from Inter, but also the one of 20 million sent by West Ham. The request, as we told you in recent days, at least for the moment remains the one set at 30 million. His club is not lowering its demands, strong in the fact that from the Premier League in particular several clubs have shown interest in him. However, Inter and West Ham are the only ones who have made concrete moves to have him. Nantes' position is clear: for 30 million he will leave, for less he will remain in Ligue 1. Of course, the market is long, but let's remember that in the past few weeks the negotiation that was supposed to bring Filip Stankovic to the same team has already fallen through due to the lack of economic agreement."

"Inter News Zézé, West Ham try to anticipate Inter: Nantes stopped West Ham are battling Inter for Nathan Zézé, a 2005-born defender from Nantes. SportItalia reports, which informs of an official offer from the English. Nathan Zézé, a 2005-born defender, is heating up the market. Also for Inter, who have included him in the list of names of possible left-handed defenders for next season. West Ham are also very interested in him, who would like to bring him to the Premier League. So much so that they have already formalized an official offer of 20 million euros. An offer, however, that Nantes has sent back to the sender. And it is not good news for the Nerazzurri either, because the French are clear and firm in their requests: to sign the player, an operation worth 30 million euros will be necessary. A figure that is definitely out of the market for Inter, who continues to monitor the situation, but is focusing more on other more economically affordable profiles."

Can't Sold0 put in a bid and bring Zouma into his vets' team? Sure that the Gavvy fund will cough up a pony or two to help out.

Oh gawd! I would have thought it might be an insurance claim for a player who is as obviously crocked as Zouma is. Anyone know how these things work?

"Sport Witness West Ham ‘want to accelerate’ efforts for signing – Club want to offload player, fee affordable for Hammers By Naveen Ullal At the start of this month, L’Equipe stated West Ham United are one of the clubs to have tested the waters for Paris Saint-Germain’s Carlos Soler. It was also reported the midfielder is expected to leave the French club and the Premier League is said to be his next destination. According to El Desmarque, West Ham are set to provide competition to Real Sociedad in the chase for the 27-year-old. La Real have identified the Spain international as a candidate to replace Mikel Merino, if the latter were to leave them this summer. The former Newcastle United man has less than a year left on his deal and there’s been repeated claims of Arsenal’s desire to sign him. The La Liga side have the PSG player on their agenda, while they would have to be wary of the Hammers. It’s claimed Julen Lopetegui’s side ‘want to accelerate’ their efforts to sign the former Valencia man. PSG, for their part, are looking to offload Soler and would need €20m to part ways with him in this window. It wouldn’t be an issue for West Ham to meet their request, but the report states they will have to let one of their own midfielders leave before tabling an offer for the Spaniard."

"Sport Witness West Ham in tussle to sign versatile player – Lopetegui could be driving Hammers interest By Naveen Ullal West Ham United are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Sergi Roberto this summer, according to multiple claims from Spain. The 32-year-old has been without a club since his deal at Barcelona expired on June 30th. Earlier claims stated the La Liga side want to retain him, but he confirmed on Sunday that his time at the Camp Nou has come to an end. Monday’s edition of Sport takes a look at where he could end up next season and West Ham are mentioned as one of the candidates. Sevilla manager García Pimienta knows Roberto from his time with Barca’s youth team, but the Andalusian club currently don’t have the salary margin to register him. The Spaniard has a chance to move abroad, where West Ham are an option from England. The report says this is mainly because of Julen Lopetegui, who managed Roberto when he was in charge of the national team. As well as the Hammers, Fiorentina, AS Roma, Como and Ajax are among the options the fullback, who can also operate as a midfielder, can pick from in this window. El Desmarque state Sevilla were the first club to ask about the versatile player. They are joined by West Ham, Aston Villa and Ajax, with the Dutch club said to be the favourites to secure his services. In short, West Ham have to tussle with other clubs to sign Roberto on a free transfer."

@nawaf__oga Sources in the UAE do not expect the deal to collapse. Al-Ahly want Zouma and Zouma wants them too. The player is now in Dubai waiting for the green light to complete the transfer.

"From what I gather, Ings was the only really SULLY SPECIAL in the last couple of seasons, Westham67. So not sure how much blame can be put at the feet of Moyes for that one."

"I read Omorodion to Chelsea and then loan to us which was bollocks We need to offload some players Zouma has come back, We need four centre backs to get through the season so we need Ings off of the wage bill we won't get anything like what we paid for him. A typical shortsighted Moyes buy"

"Thanks Alan. So its likely they have realised he's a broken doll. But they also realise the level of football is poor and he could cope, so to save face and get the so called 'big name' in, they have offered him less money but he has told them to stick it."

"🇦🇪 سدّد @UAEkick After Kurt Zouma completed his medical examination, some aspects of his contract were altered due to the player's previous injury appearing during the examinations and Zouma did not sign the new terms and has returned to the UK. The player returned to Britain without signing the contracts ✈️ The deal may falter! Florian Plettenberg @Plettigoal Understand that Kurt #Zouma is still on site in 🇦🇪 after problems arose during the medical check. West Ham and Shabab Al-Ahli in regular contact to find a solution to make the deal happen. #WHUFC 29 y/o central defender now waiting for the next steps."

Out of the players that potentially may be relegated to squad roles - Soucek is our most valuable and sellable asset. We could get some decent money for him. I am sure there would be clubs from Germany / Holland very interested in him and so if the club do want to recoup some money spent its likely he would be the one.

"Manuel 12:49 Mon Aug 12 I think there will definitely be one or two out. I am looking at Soucek and / or Coufal who may not want to be sit on bench (as its looking likely). JWP may also feel threatened by incoming of Rodriguez and also that there is no chance Lope will be playing with three holding midfielders like Moyes did. However, JWP has been very complimentary of the new coach and has said he has learnt loads already from him - So he may want to stick around be happy as a squad player."

Manuel 11:23 Mon Aug 12 Yes - I heard this yesterday. Apparently he is back in UK with what is being described as an 'anomoly' in relation to his medical. A this stage there is no further info as to whether he has technically failed or passed though.

"It is good news as he was the last 'must get' player/position. Anything else now is bonus territory. There is no chance we/Tim is going the best part of three weeks with no one else coming in, I fancy something like two more in, two or three out."
