US Election, November 5th

And a bit eerily and worryingly Bonfire night!!!! Let's hope it doesn't descend into that though
Never know an election be in the news so much, all over Aussie TV and expect the worlds TV as well, so many (non Septic's) have an opinion on it as well? WTF
fuck knows who wins, personally don't care as both sides seem like a pack of cunts, so IMHO there will be no winner for the American people, the best we can hope for is that one side wins convincingly and so less chance of it kicking off but i bet whomever wins none of the doomsayers predictions will come to pass in any shape or form, it will just be business as usual and snouts in the trough for those associated with the winning side.
America will still be a freak show and your average American no better or worse off than before.

Just a bit curious, does anyone here openly back Trump and without a doubt defend his moral compass?

By the way, I’m not advancing any trait of democracy as a positive - if you were any sort of academic you would see that straight away.
But you are just a bore. It really was a lot better on here when you were still trying to work out how to post on the new site.

Ah OK.
You’re so amazing oiks.
*has a stretch and yawn.
Suprisingly quick for you to concede and resort to pet name calling. It used to take pages of text walls. Refreshing.

Enjoy your Trump kool-aid oiks - but democracy isn’t there to hold votes only to realise Bourgeoise class interests. Bezos will drop Trump like a turd as soon as he fails to make himself useful while Soros is all about educating people so they become better capitalists, which is why he boils your piss so much. Musk is just a rich fuck-up desperate for a break.
- "Bourgeois class interests" ? Your persona on here really argues against you being some working-class hero, so you are advancing this trait of democracy as a positive?
- Bezos didn't pick up Trump ie. didn't endorse him. So I don't know how he could drop him.
- Soros financing campaigns for years has nothing to do with education. Again incredibly naive or willfully blind.
And mentioning him amongst a group of billionaires who have exercised political influence for years does not actually indicate I dislike him, let alone let him upset me.
On the other hand notice your closing rant of ?jealousy? about Musk. A man's whose views and actions I have disagreed with many times but while failing along the way has achieved astronomical much more than you.

We’re in for another tough four years without a real US administration and the main worry is the executive’s oligarchisation as the likes of Musk and Bezos take over.
The plus side is people won’t get killed as the country would further polarises if Trump loses. The Democrats will dig in having won the popular vote and the security establishment will limit the damage to the US’s interests in key areas like Ukraine. People will hurt and come to see politics is not much use if it is all about feels and nothing about real policy.
Lots of fun Pickle points here.
A couple:
1) Bewailing the political turn of billionaires like Musk or Bezos (really just saying his paper can't endorse a candidate because the media has lost consumer confidence because of its biased positions) after years of billionaire political influence by the likes of Soros, Gates, Zuckerberg, Page etc.
Incredibly naive or just enjoys the influence being hidden.
2) Glorying in the fact the un-elected intelligence state will politically direct elected officials.
Maybe something comfortingly Stasi about it for you?

It’s embarrassing seeing many on the left claim January 6th as a legitimate coup attempt. Especially as there is video footage of police opening doors and ushering people in. Most of which were not armed or any physical threat. More to the point claiming that Donald Trump incited it, despite his social media posts beforehand asking for peaceful protest and respecting the law, having also offered Pelosi National Guard which she refused.
Then consider the same Democrats, not long before, supported and incited months of BLM protests that saw billions of dollars in damage and at least 25 deaths country wide.

Trump is most likely win the electoral college and take most if not all the swing states. We’re in for another tough four years without a real US administration and the main worry is the executive’s oligarchisation as the likes of Musk and Bezos take over.

There both symptoms of modern day politics . Ones a crook and basically a convicted rapist . And Harris ticks two boxes black and a woman . Reagan and JFK they ain't .

Lots of stupid rhetoric on both sides, as has become usual, but I see the the press has had to walk back the - Trump says Cheney should be put before a firing squad - fake row.
Who puts someone in front of a firing squad with "a gun in her hand".
More serious but just as funny as "Coach" Tim Waltz's repeated mangled sports references.

Trump is a known quantity. Harris ain’t. Agree with it or not. That will be what the vast majority of voters will go with.

Anyone voting Harris must have had a lobotomy. Her and Biden have been a disaster on most measures. Trump is no angel and talks the most shit at times but he is NOT the "Facist" as the left claim him to be, was at least competent in his 4 years and he was an actual president, and you wont be able to say the same about Harris because she is definitely NOT going to be in charge of anything if elected. This will be Soros and Obama pulling the strings. No thanks.

You could, I suppose. Or you could just look at how it was when he was president before. Pretty uneventful generally speaking - at least until covaids - and precisely none of the horrors, like nuclear war, that people predicted ever happened.

Their markets hit record highs in September, and inflation is at its lowest rate since 2021. It may well be a basket case, but much less so since he took over.
Exactly - people are so desperate there they’ll do anything for $$$$.
Welcome to Trump’s future and if you want to know what it’s going to be like, have a look at Argentina

Suppose it depends on whether you think it was an accident.
And my comment wasn't specifically about her. It was about the party as a whole. As I said, very similar to the UK where Labour campaigned on a promise of decency and proved within 100 days they are anything but. Same with the dems. Lied about bidens mental state for 3 years. Lie about pretty much everything, frankly.
Again, it's a matter of who you hate least. I don't have a vote, so don't really have a skin in the game - but seeing how shit scared all the Hollywood types are of Trump winning, that would probably sway it for me. That, and i would take Elon Musk over George Soros any day. Would be interested to see how his purge of government departments would work - worked well in Argentina, and if it works over there would like to see similar here.

How is someone a "bad person" if the passwords to voting machines on their remit have been leaked?
Did she sell them down the battle cruiser or something?
Or is she a "bad person" for recognising it is her responsibility to keep them secure and has apologised in public for her failure? That certainly would make her a bad politician by Trump's standards, I'll give you that.

Forgot to mention, of course, Jena Griswold - the democrat colorado secretary of state who previously tried to have trump removed from the ballot - who is being sued because all the passwords to the voting machines were leaked. Some grovelling bullshit overnight about how they've been reset. Hopefully won't get her out of it.
These are not good people, I'm afraid. Doesn't mean Trump is before anyone goes there.
