The abusive posts have been deleted. Please stick to topic and don't make unfounded allegations against members...if you can back up a claim then do so by quoting the post that demonstrates it.

This thread is being given significantly more leeway for sensitive discussion than others, so you engage at your own risk of being offended by response, but baseless abuse and allegations will still result in sanctions for those doing so.

Final warning for all.

Why? Maybe because she was in the party in government at the time with a policy to benefit from the OUTRAGE as much as possible.

I see there is actually quite a lot of cross-party consensus on Musk trying to stoke another moral panic about the grooming gangs.

Would anyone like provide a little more detail and clarity on what lies he has actually been telling before I have to find out myself?

All members should pay their fair share. Americans  “pay” more because they will be the ones who have the military infrastructure. I think to Trumps point, is it fair that the US pay two thirds of the defence budget? I think an equitable split is 50/50 North America vs Europe maybe, especially as threat of conflict is likelier to come from the east
It’s not just a question of how much but what kind of spending. A re-arming Poland currently relies far too heavily on US command and control systems and intelligence and will have to develop its own tech and structures together with Germany and the UK. France is already a land power with its own nuclear capabilities but is currently going through a severe public debt crises; its real involvement in a stronger European arm of NATO is far from automatic. However, I think the next German administration will be looking to re-arm to stimulate its flagging industrial base, with all the political consequences that entails.

I don't remember that being your response at the time he said NATO needed to spend more.

But nice of you to now admit that he was right.

Of course Trump was right and of course NATO members need to spend more in response to the Kremlin threat. Interesting though how none of the usual organs have mentioned WARMONGERING yet.

NATO leaders are expecting to have to pony up more than the measly 2% of GDP defense spending now that Trump is in office.

Trump has called for bigger military spending by NATO members. He doesn’t like NATO taking advantage of the U S taxpayer.

He’s not fucking around.

Personally I think the countries closest to Russia should pay the most. Let’s see what happens.

Trump wants to buy Greenland, Says it’s essential for National security. US has been trying to buy it for over 150 years apparently. Doubt the Danes will sell, we’ll find out if Trump can pull it off.

Trumps also talking about taking back control of the Panama Canal. He says China has too much influence on the Canal and that is gonna change.

We finally have a leader of the free world that is willing and able to do something.

U.K. economic growth revised down to zero for Q3 this year.
CBI says "the economy is headed for the worst of all worlds".

Economically speaking, this country is an absolute mess. A government that appears to want businesses to pay the bills & large chunk of the population doesn’t want to work.

I won’t post it, It’s one of the most wickedest things I’ve seen.
