"I've wanted Moyes out a few times in the past but after beating Spurs, Man Utd and now Arsenal in the past month, along with having our highest ever points total at this stage, it would be madness to get rid. Maybe TS and DM are on the same page now and it's working."

"If Steidten can get some more players like Kudus and Alvarez perhaps Moyes could develop a plan B. Plan A perfect tonight but need another way to play as it won't work against better teams all the time as we've seen. Kudus is so good off the ball and in it. A left sided equivalent another midfielder , forward and wing back and even Moyes might be a tad more adventurous ?"

Must confess I in many ways wanted a more progressive manager playing style wise but I'm starting to wonder if we would end up with another Pellegrini situation. Four points off Man City you probably wouldn't have expected that along with a record points total at this stage of the season. He has delivered good times and now he has got that monkey off his back winning away at Arsenal maybe it's worth taking the Fulhams and Liverpool's for the home times.

"Moyes mis-management is best shown in his quad building over the last few years having spent some £450m. Putting our options down on paper shows how bad Moyes is at it and explains why the board got in Tim Steidten. Try and pick alternatives for tonight and it becomes clear we can all predict the team selection. - Areola, - Coufal, Mavrapanos, Zouma, Emerson, - JWP, Soucek, Alvarez - Kudus, Paqueta, Bowen. Johnson, Cresswell, Ogbonna and Kehrer are not as good as first choices so none of them apply pressure to become first choice. In midfield and up front it's the same lack of pressure on places. Coventry and Cornet never get games. Downes was let out on loan. Fornals Ings and Benrahma are well tried but consistent only in that they keep failing to impress. Mubama has never been used as much as he could have been so, we are effectively a 15 man squad. One of them is back-up keeper and 2 of those are not available today so realistically Moyes has a 12 man squad for tonight's game against L'Arse. It's even worse than that really. The balance for the 1st choice players is just not there. We have 2 brilliant goal scoring left footed right wingers. No-one on LW so Paqueta is Brazil's 10/DM but plays on LW lately and occasionally as a false 9. Our midfield three of Alvarez (great) Soucek (not so great) and JWP who is neither a DM nor an AM but a box to box player that can take free kicks rather well. No wonder we can't play football properly. It's a fucking shambles. I'd love to see us rip Arsenal apart but there's not a lot of chance is there really? Arsenal have a choice of 2 strikers in Nketia and Jesus. We don't have one! They have a choice of Saka and Reiss Nelson on RW and Trossard or Martinelli LW. In midfield they have a choice of 4 AM, 4 DM and another 8 back four players - all recognisable names too. There are 9 of our squad still there that need to be moved on ASAP. Fuck FFP excuses because Moyes has well and truly fucked our squad with his dithering stupidity. It's only a 15 man squad really with a lot of crap players costing money. Let's replace what we can then use the youth..."

Sir Alf I think our priority has changed with the vunerability at the back so we need at least one defender and if it's a left back Emerson can play further up the field with Paqueta moving into the middle. So you might get your wish.

"While the manager continues to play his best creative midfielder out of position and not see the need for a quality left sided midfielder, we will always be limited in how we play. Soucek I can appreciate is of value in either box aerially for playing Moyesball but is one of the poorest footballers or the outright worst technically in the whole division. It will always severely limit our ability to keep the ball and play thru teams that press well. Hence we always sit deep and go full Moyesball. There are some games where Moyesball, low block is a useful tactic but it's largely all we do. Against lesser teams he still picks Soucek and it's like playing with one short if you're trying to play thru the lines and out from the back. I suspect the left sided midfielder problem will only be resolved once Moyes moves on. A striker is another big requirement as is wing back strengthening. Soucek is symbolic of the Moyes era. Great effort and commitment, will get some goals now and then, helps make us hard to beat at times but ultimately is limited and hence why we will not progress. Great sub or alternative tactical option but starter ? Nooooo ! I'm obsessive about it. Need to get help I think :-)."

If Arsenal hadn't come in for Rice I'm sure he would have been happy to be coached by Pep or klopp. He was destin to leave. Whats is just as worrying is the likelyhood of losing one or more of Bowen. Paqueta Kudus in the summer.

"I'd just like to see us give Arsenal the sort of game that makes it a fact we are only a few players away from getting a regular away win at some of these clubs. Instead we will be shown why Rice was right to want to be coached by Arteta. Love Moyes to prove me wrong though""¶.."

"feldman - We have the players to do it? Well, possibly, but Moyes or not they are still a better side than us, so it's tough even if we had the gweatest coach in the whole wide world. And what is your problem with Sullivan these days? Who are your preferred owners?"

We could turn the arse over . No doubt about it we have the players to do it . It's Moyes mentality against them that's the issue . no wins in near on 80 premier games away to the scoucers red mancs and the sexton Blake's and goons says it all . An ambitious club wouldn't tolerate it . And sadly we still have Sullivan .

"If we can go to Arsenal and fuck them up, I would have to consider it being OK if he stays at my football club. Sadly, we won't beat Arse, though."

"Today's goose was highly satisfactory as it goes. Slow roast with red cabbage, walnut and liver pate stuffing (plenty of port, raisins and cocoa), I served it with roast spuds and a quince jelly I'd made earlier. Proper festive, it was."

"If we improve more we might get somewhere. Emerson has improved for example. Aguerd, Mavropanos and Soucek with his passing need to step up otherwise we will ship too many goals to get anywhere. Kehrer is another but looks a lost cause under Moyes."

Them statements are true with the current squad and an improvement of years gone by. Unless we are taken over by Arabs/ Americans we are at top level.

"The article in the i was spot on about Moyes, he's not quite good enough but not quite bad enough either. Not quite good enough for top 4 but can make top six. Not quite good enough to win the Europa league but can win the Conference."
