Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"The left always eats itself. There is a hierarchy of woke, as JK Rowling found out. Keighley's town mayor quits after backlash over Pride remarks Published 1 hour ago Share Keighley flag-raising event IMAGE SOURCE,SUPPLIED Image caption, Mr Nazam (left) faced a backlash after apologising for attending a Pride event By David McKenna & Chris Young BBC News The mayor of Keighley has resigned after being criticised for describing his attendance at a Pride event as a ""lapse in judgement"". In a Facebook post, Mohammed Nazam said his participation had contradicted his ""personal religious beliefs"". He was suspended by the Conservative group on Bradford Council once his comments came to light and later announced he would quit as mayor. In a statement he said he ""did not mean any harm to the LGBTQ community"". He said he intended to carry on as an Independent councillor, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service. In his post, on a page called Keighley Pakistanis, Mr Nazam said: ""I wholeheartedly apologise for my participation in the flag-raising ceremony, as it contradicts my personal religious beliefs, as many of you are aware."" He said he had since ""personally repented for this error,"" adding: ""Looking back, I realise that I should have respectfully declined the request at the time."" Keighley flag-raising event IMAGE SOURCE,SUPPLIED Image caption, He described his participation as a ""lapse in judgement"" Robbie Moore, Conservative MP for Keighley, who also attended the event on Friday, had called for Mr Nazam to consider his position. He said: ""I've seen comments made by [Mr] Nazam, stating that he feels the need to apologise for his part in the flag-raising ceremony and the need for him to ""personally repent for 'his' error"" because of religious beliefs. ""The role of the town mayor is to represent everyone within the community and therefore it was deeply disheartening to read the mayor's statement."" Following his suspension, Mr Nazam issued a statement saying he would stand down with ""immediate effect. ""By my apology I did not mean any harm to the LGBTQ community,"" he said. ""My religion teaches respect and tolerance for all and the law of the land. People should have the freedom to express their beliefs and live their lives as they wish to. This should apply to all communities and religious beliefs."""

"It's ok for a bloke to identify as a woman, so why is referring to him as ""he"" a hate crime. The former is a delusion and the later is a biological fact."

"I think people losing (and not replacing) their religeon(s) ha a lot to do with this; the thought that an old beardo ""up there"" is watching your every move probably instils far more discipline that it's given credit for."

"Yup. I feel a lot is about boring middle class parents looking for a bit of attention or to seem cool to others. I worked with a woman who insisted she was buying her little son all the pink and rainbow stuff to wear whether he actually expressed any interest in doing so or not. It's this decade's 'Let little Tarquin and Jacinta run around the pub all day and climb on other people's tables pissing everyone off while we selfishly ignore them and get pissed with our friends because they should be able to express themselves, and shame on you for suggesting they can't'"

There is danger that your child will turn into.a little food thief if you.let them. Identify as a cat In the.last week.my kitten nicked the fish .I'd put out for a fish pie and I had to plan a hasty alternative. Then last night I heard rustling in the kitchen..I.was just about to get up.to.investigate when he came waltzing into where I was sat with a pouch of treats in his mouth....he seems to think he has an.open buffet. Let your child identify as a cat and watch your shopping bill will. go.up. ( though they might not much like cat treats) .

"My kids regularly dressed up in their mothers clothes when they were 4 & 6 years old. Does that mean they identify as adults and should have been treated as such from that point on? This assumes, of course, that you believe their mother was an adult."

"In our day at school, when we were all boys and girls, people identifying as a cat had to hide it, they finally got free from their shackles as adults, this stops this. Fair play all the adult human cats you see wondering around work and towns today who hid it as a child."

"Pickle I often notice you take up and argue ridiculous positions on here, which I am convinced you don't really believe. When you do this, it's all incoherent, blustery wordspew, mostly playing the man, not the ball. My guess is you do this because you don't like certain posters and want to argue against their opinions just for the sake of it, or because you are neurotic and feel panic about not being part of the conversation. Maybe a bit of both. You're doing it now over this 'cat-identity' business and it's very strange. You do know it is possible to not like someone but occasionally agree with them, don't you? You don't have to engage in a Pavlovian response just because your 'enemies' are talking and you simply MUST give them a piece of your mind. Also, it's possible to 'relax and sit out' arguments on here sometimes. In your case, I think it would do you good not to be constantly 'on duty' to vanquish the opinions of the plebs, as you see us. It's not doing you any good and you're not arguing your point very well (likely because you don't really believe your waffle)"

Re: Woke watch
Mad Dog 2:26 Very peculiar. I do agree it's important to let young primary school kids indulge their imagination etc but there is a point where it's just disruptive for everyone. The child does need at some point to be told they are in fact a human being. Not doing so is like sending your kid to secondary school still thinking santa is real. Just woefuly ill prepared to deal with life.

Re: Woke watch
"The point, as a teacher or responsible adult, is not to indulge anything any more than having a moral panic. It is to engage the imagination, empathy and creativity in the child, to build on it not only in art and writing activities but science and lessons. No child is ever going to think they are actually a cat if they are exploring what it’s like to be one, and if you believe that is really a danger I suggest some proper methodological support."
