Re: The war in Ukraine
"Good Lord Twundle, you are away with the fairies today. No, you don't need to talk to any Russians to work out that their ""love"" of Putin is not exactly ""free"" and, shall we say, ""innocent"". Not if you are interested in the real world where most Russians very much find they have NO FUCKING CHOICE BETWEEN PUTIN OR SOME VERY SEVERE UNPLEASANTNESS. They will mostly all have heard of Boris Nadezhdin, and this is what he has to say about the election there the other day https://news.sky.com/video/russian-election-barred-anti-war-candidate-boris-nadezhdin-talks-about-the-russian-vote-13096843"
Re: The war in Ukraine
"Kenzo, I've been to St Petersburg or Leningrad as it was know then and as you say, it's a beautiful city, I also played in a football match in old Soviet Union (Leningrad) but unfortunately the pitch had rabbit holes in it and I trod in one and badly sprained my ankle and had to go their hospital where a nurse who looked like she could take on Mike Tyson and beat him, but she fixed my ankle so ""spasibo"" for that Tovaritch."

Re: The war in Ukraine
Are we supposed to be glossing over the overthrow of the legitimate government in Ukraine when we talk about our support for democracy? Not sure how fucking thick you have to be to square that circle

Re: The war in Ukraine
Think the only Russians I have met were a couple of Russian brasses in the Prospect of Whitby.... oh they was out of our price range... we only had 2 potatoes each....
Re: The war in Ukraine
"I've been to Russia 4 or 5 times, Moscow and St Petersburg. The large majority of the ones i met were fine. The ones with money did come across as a tad arrogant, but that's not exclusive to just Russians, we have plenty of them in this country. St Petersburg in particular is a great city, shame they have a tosser running the place."

"I don't like Russians, Sold0. I think they're selfish, suborn cunts. Pretty much every single one I've met. I've not met Putin, but I'd imagine being their leader he's a mamouth cսnt. I've mentioned this enough times on this thread, Sold0. It's not my fault you, and a couple of others, are too blind to see it. It's a very weak reply to accuse any one of being a Putin supporter."

Re: The war in Ukraine
"Thing is Trundski... you and the rest of the ski‚Äôs on here don‚Äôt really ever criticise Putin never alone call him a cսnt ... so yeah you do come across as one of those flag waving Ivan‚Äôs in Red Square rather than one of those voters that throws dyes in voting boxes or fire bombs the poling station... I gather you was not one of those Ukranian‚Äôs that was paid a visit on their doorstep by the polling box and armed soldiers... any suitable opposition candidate had either been silenced, jailed or knocked off... and yet all fair and above board... you gotta love democracy."

"how can you be sure, what free and non state controlled outlet are you getting that from? not hard to seem popular when all your major opponents are sent to workcamps or thrown out of windows. do you also think Kim Jong Un is a stand up go due to all the obvious support he gets from his people?"

Re: The war in Ukraine
"How about the pubic support of the Russian people for their leader? People have no grasp on Russia if they think they'd be a different result if their got their ""fee and fair"" (with help from the US and the EU interference) elections. The vast majority of Russians in Russia love Putin."

"riosleftsock 11:40 Mon Mar 18 Re: The war in Ukraine The majority of people in the world believe Putin won, even the Pope congratulated him. Public support from a pope is one of the the worst examples of authenticity I think I've seen"

"It was a joke, joyo. Don't cry. Not as funny as watching you pretend you care about Russians, as if they wouldn't vote for him."
