Anxiety/depression
"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

Re: Anxiety/depression
I’m sure many will have problems this Christmas but I wish you all well. How’s it all going Pentonville? I hope you’re doing fine at this lonely time mate. And all those in a similar situation. I wish I could help you all individually. Remember that every human being is special. Even when it seems otherwise. Merry Christmas everyone.

Re: Anxiety/depression
"WH67, pleased to hear things are improving some. I was about to say the same as Zico, Citizens advice, used them once when made redundant and they were quite helpful although only part-time and obviously had a heavy case load, so had to keep chasing them. This was 25 years ago and I know they have cut back on legal aid since so may not be relevant, however it maybe worth enquiring exactly how you apply/qualify for legal aid if available to you? They suggested legal aid to me for unfair dismissal, but I settled out of court so never used them, but I remember several legal aid lawyers calling me and very keen asking if I wanted them to take up my case for many months later as they didn't know I had settled, I think these were probably juniors who wanted the experience, still everyone has to start somewhere."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"Westham67 Don't know that form I don't think but few years ago I couldn't work for a while due to bilateral testicular hypofunction. Claimed ESA but eventually got shafted by the assessment process, which is another long winded and boring story. However the reason why I mention it is the Citizens Advice Bureau were absolutely brilliant in helping me complete the form. They have a specialist who knows exactly what to put down so give your local branch a call. When I did it they invited me in for an appointment and they complete it whilst you are there."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"zico 7:14 Mon Dec 5 There a bloke where my brother lives and he is 85 with skin cancer and he has skin grafts on his swede. My advice to all in a shit boat at the moment read Carl Jung. Nature, technology and modern life. Written nearly 100 years and hits the nail on the head of the world we live now. Its a comfort to read it and for the first for a long time I was able to calm down and meditate I though leave in until I got setted rather a 4 month winge, I started with a shit case worker in Barking and now I have small bedroom flat in Canterbury 10 minute walk to shops (Karma) HS2 is going to be a long winded disaster there will not a be train service with this decade and a few years of into the 2030s. I am not going to start my job until June 23 but I am still applying for others. NR are not the only show in town for track work now. I just got my ESA approved and appealing PIP. Now I have address I am appealing the the high ruling for tax they are taking money out of my UC a grand total of £300 a month. If anyone knows how to complete a 1N161 appeal form whomail me please (My knob has been wiped on the aforementioned document an amazingly I still cannot complete it) I had a chat with MPI and Pents just to keep my head straight at times,"

Re: Anxiety/depression
"MPI Indeed he should be, we all need something from time to time. I'm lucky that I have generally been able to bounce back from being low but I was concerned last few days because I wasn't. But I picked up the phone to friends and family and plonked that on here and was really appreciative of the support and have somewhat bounced back a bit. Just needed a bit of a kick start so really appreciate it gents. May I just add that if anyone needs a chat or some help please just whomail me and I'll be glad to help if I can."

"zico, Pleased to read that mate, Once again this thread works in the way it should, Tomshardware's contribution to WHO is a good one, hope he is proud. Sounds like your coping mechanisms and way of enjoying/enduring the festive period are in place and work for you. If the above changes for any reason you know where we are."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"Thanks for the messages guys, have whomailed a few of you back. Had a long chat with my sister and a mate last night and we are all going through it at the moment and I'll be fine. Not worth worrying about that appointment until the appointment. Never worth worrying about something until it happens. Christmas on my own is absolutely fine though, done it since mum went into care and not having to watch the ladies soaps is a joy!! Just had a downer but you guys have helped pick me up so I appreciate that. There are many far worse off than I, I'm lucky I own my home so will always have a roof over my head. Bruno, I don't watch the news, as you say it's far too depressing, I might stop watching West Ham as it's as bad!! ;-) Thanks again guys."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"Zico, That's a lot of plates spinning for one man without an outlet to discuss, assess or even to distract him so you have nothing to apologise for fella, in fact grateful for you reaching out. Same as Pents really can you WHOmail myself or Farley and let us know where you live, what your current plans are for Christmas and what might be possible in terms of family and/or friend visits."
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Zico I would reccomend not watching or reading the news , it’s just designed to cause you anxiety and there’s really nothing to be gained from it these days."
