"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Thats a headscratcher for me. Let that hip fully heal, whilst learning the playbook under the tutelage of one of the nicest guys in the league who incidentally has been lighting it up so far. Doesnt seem to make sense from any perspective"

"Got a alert throught to say that Tua would be starting after the bye week...find it a bit strange too,to be honest as has been said on here. Fav bit of Fitzpatrick this season was the block he threw for Myles Gaskin on a running play Sun against the Jets."

"""The NFC North and East are the original old school NFL Divisions. It is proper old fashioned NFL football. Cold weather outdoor stadiums, the divisions are populated by venerable football teams."" Yep the old black and blue division, it's more pink and beige now"

"Bit of an odd one, Dolphins have announced that Tua is going to be the starting QB moving forward. Fitzpatrick was playing some of the best football of his career this season."

"1-5 teams rarely look good Miike. The franchised is cursed. The NFC North and East are the original old school NFL Divisions. It is proper old fashioned NFL football. Cold weather outdoor stadiums, the divisions are populated by venerable football teams. Only Synder has turned the Redskins into a perpetual expansion team."

"oh dear, we don't look good and it's got worse with the benching of haskins. I suppose you can't be too harsh on the new coaches in their first season but it's tough to see where any wins are coming from, even against dalton's dallas"

the 1-5 Redskins are one game off a share of the lead in the NFC East.

"I'm a bit Elway fan, he's my favourite ever QB, and Josh Allen's the closest I've seen as a player in the same mould. he was the stand out QB at the rookie combine and it's great to see him consistently playing well. I just hope the Bills management invest in some linemen to protect him better"

Apparently the Chief's game is on Prime. Which is fine except that them repeating trailer after trailer after trailer of their shows does something amazing : make me miss American commercials.

"Yes Burnsey you are correct they should have won but......... Zeb is right the Dolphins are heading in the right direction finally, they are playing better. They beat the Niners good and proper, even if it was our back ups, that being said Buffallo still wins the East and Fins miss the playoffs."

"Nutsin 10:55 Mon Oct 19 Re: NFL (since 2016) Where were you last week when the Dolphins destroyed your shithouse team? Rams seemed to lack intensity last night which was odd, but still should have won had Goff not thrown an interception and Kupp dropped that chance when we were in the redzone."

"Ryan Fitzpatrick comes across as a really nice bloke. He is smart (Harvard degree, Wonderlic score etc.) which helps as a QB. What is amazing is that he still has the arm strength to go deep and is not afraid to do it at the perfect time when he knows a hit is coming. My favourite bits in the 49ers game (watched it again for fun) is when he decides to run on short yardage and just puts his head down and charges like a full back. Not your average 37 year old quarterback. Regret not picking him on on Fantasy but drafted Tua and didn't want to let him go but it is fab to see him just do what he does and the Fins on the up."

"The mighty Fins coming along nicely, first time ive seen the Jets this season and yep they are shocking...still thats a Gase team for you! Fitzmagic is one classy geezer, leading the cheers for Tua when he came on...great article about him in the Guardian aswell...comes across as a genuinely nice fella."

"Away from the Jets, it's shaping up to be a decent season. The Steelers look surprisingly good. Roethlisberger is throwing superbly again despite being 147 years-old and his grand-dad, Brady, who must be older than Noah, is on fire in Tampa. Wilson also looking good up in Seattle. Looks like the vets are going to give the superb Mahomes a run for his money this season."

"On a serious note, I'm beginning to think that this will genuinely be a 0-16 or 1-15 season for the Jets. I'd be amazed, genuinely, if we won two or more games from here. That Fish game was supposed to be one of our 'weaker' match-ups for a few weeks - and they could have won it while dressed as comedy fish characters."

"IronsofCanada/Scorch, Many thanks for the attempt to cheer us up! The worst thing about y'day was not even getting walloped by the Fish. It was seeing Gase's press conference afterwards, during which he continued to insist that he's making progress! We are 0-6 for just the second time in our (hardly glorious) history. The only other occasion was when Rich Kotite - now relegated to being just the second worst coach in NFL history - was in charge and we went 1-15. Somebody needs to stage an intervention at the Jets. Even the Giants won yesterday. And Atlanta. How bad must we be?!"
