I think it’d be a win for everyone if you just ban Pickle. It can’t be good for his mental health to get so much abuse day in day out by so many people, no matter how much seems to crave it. It would certainly take away the black cloud he swamps over every thread he appears on. Should have happened 10 years ago.

Whenever the grooming gangs from up north have been discussed on here, Pickle has jumped on anyone daring to express anger at the shocking state of affairs that enabled it to continue so long, labelling such posters ‘gammon’ and racist.

l’d suggest it IS also downplaying the shocking crimes committed against minors.

And yet when abuse comes his way, there he is running to the mods and threatening to get the site closed down.

What actually shocks me it the extreme level of patronising attitude about the working class betrayed in Nurse Ratchet's posts. She really needs to speak for herself when expressing the view that strong opinions about important local matters cannot be understood in a broader social and geopolitical context by working class receivers. And then she proceeds to misrepresent the position as "minimisation" of the matter. Well, it's nothing but absolutely gross Daily Mail/Sun-style dumming down of any kind of educated standard on the assumption the working class will buy it.

When Pickle says 'moral panic', what he really means is ghastly, thick working class people having strong opinions on things that affect their communities. But who cares about them? They don't even have degrees in sociology,  so how can they understand what's good for them?

Well of course you have no complaints about the modding. You delibrrately provoke abuse from posters, then run crying to the mods, and they fight your battles for you.
