"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Grumps, we beat two bad teams with our back ups. So two good wins on the road. Philly then Miami up next, got a good chance if being 4-1, we have 3 weeks to get healthy, Jimmy G, Kittle, Mostert, Deebo and Sherman should all be back for the Rams game. Let's hope we don't get any more significant injuries we've already had more than our fair share. Once healthy we will still be the best in the west...Difference is our offense will be what wins us games this year as opposed to our dominant D."

"I had a tenner on Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb and James Connor all to score touchdowns. Was boosted to 11/2. Better than nothing."

Grumpster 11:14 Sun Sep 27 It is West Ham-like. I started McKinnon and it began great but apparently he picked up a rib injury and did nothing in the second half.

The falcons are doing it again! They were 16 points up with 5 minutes left. They're now trailing by 4 with 90 seconds to go

"We've been very lucky that the teams we've played the last 2 weeks are shite nuts, as we need some bodies back against the better teams, as may not get away with it otherwise. Unreal set of injuries."

Great wins for the Niners and Bill's today. Nick Mullens is a solid back up.

"Hermit, my misunderstanding. Yes, you are exactly right. Putting so much stock in real NFL terms in a particular RB is ultra high risk, given that the shelf life of a top RB is, apart from a few exceptions, a pretty short span."

"someone like Mccaffrey is on an island, but is priced accordingly ($10.5k last week), you then dropped down to Barkley ($9k) and then the rest of the elite RBs Cook/Kamara/Henry/Sanders/A.Jones/Jacobs/Carson/Drake who fit in the $8.5-7k bracket. you then get the lesser backs who can be hit & miss but you often get break out players like the Colts Jonathan Taylor who shine immediately and who's price is going up by the thousand per week :.)"

Depends on the sort of running back. Saquon Barkley is a smash it up the middle merchant but you have counter examples like Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson who play in a different way.

Occupy. Agree 100%. I meant the Giants using that pick for him in the real draft. I understand the short term hit at the time because he was such a phenomenon but a RB is pretty short term at his level.
