"Manuel - I agree, but that's where we're at. Worth a try they can be quite fluid, Antonio doesn't stay central anyway, it's better than playing Ings and sooner or later Antonio is going to run out of steam, yesterday we should have had a look at the 60th minute at 2 up."

"If you're a team/club looking to go places then you need proper strikers, not morphing wide men into one, we have already done that with Antonio. Even if Moyes does give Bowen a shot up top, mainly to accomodate Kudus, would it work and would he leave out Antonio? I'm not convinced with either."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sheffield Utd - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Class players no matter drifting here middle there left there, influence games, Paq didn’t yesterday, works hard but where was that key pass or shot? But most of the team waltzed the second half. 3 points."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sheffield Utd - Official Match Thread - Preview
"goose I agree to an extent, but Moyes has said he fancies him through the middle.. Kudus is excellent on the right and looks more likely to dribble past a player than Bowen and can also play up the middle. Bowen spends a lot of time up the middle too. They could switch quite well I reckon and would look better than Antonio /Bowen did yesterday.. I would like to see it tried"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sheffield Utd - Official Match Thread - Preview
Do despite spending hundreds of millions we’re in a position where we have to shift our best attacking option out of position when Antonio is injured or tired. It’s mental that we are incapable of signing strikers.

"""People not happy because its wasn't 5/8-0."" no, you're the only one going there. look in a mirror if you you want to see someone thick"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sheffield Utd - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Bowen will play up front when Antonio doesn't he was central a lot yesterday as Antonio drifted left. Nobody expects us to win 5 or 8 nil and Wd40 is calling other people thick, what they're expecting is is not to stop trying to score at 2 up, second half was fucking boring over there.."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sheffield Utd - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Routine win against a very poor side. The next two games are a real benchmark of where we are. My personal concerns haven’t changed: Playing JWP, Alvarez and Soucek means Paqueta gets pushed out wide. Our best player on the ball gets marginalised and cannot effect the game. Kudus - his best position is the same as Bowen. £40m on a player who isn’t going to start or gets played out of position. Good player but a complete waste of our budget. The question of what happens when Antonio gets injured still needs answering."

"We’re better than we were last season. Alvarez ran the show, Ward-Prowse was class, and Moyes is the only thing standing in the way of the Greek bloke and Kudus making us even stronger. The next steps in rebuilding are obvious, Antonio, Cresswell, Fornals, Ings, Benrahma, Cornet, and Ogbonna out. That’ll be a proper rebuilding job if they pull it off in the next two windows Thanks to Rice for funding it — maybe we had to endure a shit league showing last season to allow him to showcase himself getting in the box more, so we got top dollar for him? On the evidence so far, he’s not been missed."

"First half good, second half was bullshit. Yes we have a game on Thursday, but when you have 60000+ fans in you have to go at it the whole game, most sides would. As said not to have an effort on target all half with the chance to improve our gd is bollocks. You have to keep going and not 'play out' a full half of football when still only in September. Bowen looks the real deal now, Paq needs to do more in the final third. Good to see Soucek come back to form, dare I say it it's like a new signing."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sheffield Utd - Official Match Thread - Preview
"My God, moan when we lose, moan when we win (comfortably). Bowen, what a player he is. We need to tie him down as Liverpool will be in for him when Salah goes to earn billions in Saudi. I was a fan of Benrahma when he came but believe that we've outgrown him, which shows how we've moved forward as a club. Kudus looks a couple of levels above him. I was firmly in the Moyes Out club towards the end of last season but have to admit that he's doing a good job and the decision to keep him was the right one. Yes, the football could be prettier, but I prefer that we're closer to the top of the table than the bottom of it."

"Benrahma is more than frustrating, he makes some of the hard things look easy yet continues to fuck up the easy bit. Give him a penalty kick and I’d back him to score. Don’t know whether he needs a cuddle or a kick up the arse. He certainly isn’t thriving under Moyes, another signing that was so promising and now looks done."

A tad negative? I thought it was negative performance Why did such a hush fall over the stadium after the 2nd goal? Because everyone f‚Äôking knew we were just gonna sit back and stop attacking and that‚Äôs more or less exactly what we did. Typical shite predictable tactics per usual - with the usual 70-72 minute substitutions. If this were a better team they‚Äôd have got something because we‚Äôd have done the same no matter who the opponent. ?üí§ ?üõå ?üò¥

"comments a tad negative. Superb first half, should probably have been 3 up at HT. Didn't bust a gut in the second half but didn't need to, we managed the game pretty well. Kudus looks like a player which is great. Should have been more emphatic, wasn't anything like the banana skin we were worried about. Newcastle will be a sterner test of exactly where we are as an outfit."

Good start to the season points wise. Soucek has his critics but this season he does seem to be back to his goalscoring form of the first 18 months at the club. Thursday will be a tough game. Obviously we want to try and win but a draw wouldn’t be a bad result either.

We should of been four up at half time and totally in control. Second half scrappy and seemed to lose interest and and they had more possession andchances Sheffield United are a piss poor side on today's showing so won't be getting to carried away.with today's victory None the less three points and we move on to thursday
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sheffield Utd - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Norf Agreed we most off that . I did say we would shut up shop. Coufal like a new man and his link up with Bowen is our main strength. I'll give Moyes some credit for the that Should have put this to bed early second half. We again allowed a very poor team to come on to us for no reason. Ideal opportunity to take Bowen and Paqueta off earlier, yet again subs stand waiting for 5 minutes odd. Be proactive Moyes. Would have been great to bring on Mubama instead of such a defensive bench. What Benrhama was told to do god knows. Cornet or Kudus down the left has to be an option Job done I guess."

Probably as routine Premier league victory we have had a home in recent years. Didnt really get out of 2nd gear and they didnt look like they'd score if they were still playing now. Thought the second half was sloppy and we gave them too much of the ball. As said a weird set up with Pacqueta playing centre forward at the end and we seemed to get bored rather than put a foot on their NECK. Respect the 3 points and move on to Freiburg & then Newcastle
