Spurs have had a shit season, mainly because of really bad injuries, especially to their defence. In spite of that, they're 3rd top scorers in the league with 60 goals so far. If you're going to have a shit season that's the way to do it. Even then it won't be all that shit for them if they get into the Champions League via the Europa.

Personally I'd love it if we swapped Potter for Postecoglou.

His style would always get found out on away days at the likes of Everton, Wolves and Villa, where you need some defensive nous. Let alone the biggest clubs.

 

They spanked Villa 4-0 at Villa Park last season. Haven't played them yet this season. They also beat Man City 4-0 and Man Utd 3-0 on away days this season.

Agree though that he's definitely the sort of manager who'd get much better results at home than away, a bit like we used to have under Redknapp. I'd take that over the dismal shit we get now.

Absolutely delighted with how he's doing at Spurs. 

It seems like he doesn't want to be there, Spurs fans don't want him there and yet he's still there.  I really hope he stays, at least to see them get knocked out of Europe and then for the visit to the London Stadium.

Sadly, they will probably be able to attract a decent manager and it won't take long to turn them around so we really need Potter to sort us out in the summer.

Never been a fan of Postecoglou and Fonseca is still the one, I think, that got away but atleast it would be interesting rather than continuing with Potter's insipid dross.

Yeah, I wanted Fonseca before we got Lopetegui. The gutting thing is that he was available for nothing in January, which is clearly Sully's main criteria for picking a manager. Since then he's had 13 games at Lyon, in which they've scored 36 goals. Even in the 3 games they've lost they scored twice in each.

Maybe just shows the fickleness in football, within 12 months he has gone from be lauded for playing some good football by fans and pundits alike to now being seen as a bit of a fraud and out of his depth.

Hes has just been found out, one trick pony and as soon as everyone knew how to set up and play against his teams the results dried up and looks like he has no plan B.

Bit of a character as well and not afraid to give his opinion, i do like him but expect he will be back in a league more suited to his skill set and ability, Scotland again perhaps?

That's exactly right, he is the attacking version of Moyes. Try something out of the dark ages, nobody is prepared for it,get some great results that supporters and neutral fans love to watch and as soon as you are found out just stick resolutely to it until your own fans hate you and you have to leave.
