"Man for man Scotland have a much more explosive back line,. Duhan van de Merwe or Elliot Daly? Just look what Brain Redpath did when he came on. He looked for gaps to make gains The rugby qualification rules are very generous. Ethan Roots is a pretty egregious example. Maori All Blacks in 2020, a couple of seasons at the Ospreys and a few games Exeter and, blam, straight into the England team."

"And 3 out of 7 kiwis in the backs for the paddies, of course Well, England won their 4th and 5th place play-off match against Wales... I wasn't expecting much more than that. Steward being dropped was weird, more so to be omitted from the squad completely. Oh, and Daly ain't no winger"

"VdM does seem a bit confused about his nationality. He did state in an interview after the game that, it was his first hatrick of tries for England ?ü§£"

"I am not aware that the S African Van der Merwe has ANY family connection to Scotland but qualified via 3 years residency while he played for an Edinburgh club Used to be in cricket that qualifying by residency took 8 years in the days of Graeme Hick That got changed when England wanted Joffra Archer playing Rugby does seem to have a lot of internationals with questionable qualification ... especially South Sea islanders for NZ, Aust & England"

"Ollie Lawrence is a pound shop Manu Tuilagi as is Manu Tuilagi nowadays. Both seek contact with no intention of beating the tackle, offloading or. shock horror, actually passing the ball. In Ollie lawrence's case it is because he can't pass. His wounded duck attempt that flapped hopelessly in touch summed up England's game yesterday."

England are not ambitious enough never willing to take a gamble when 12 points behind went for the easy 3 points instead of looking for the 7. Don't see any improvement under this coach. Why was Steward dropped not even in the squad have I missed something?

happygilmore 8:55 Sat Feb 24 We've had half the team retire and our best player fucking off to play American Football. Very much in transition. It will probably take two or three years to get us back to challenging the world's best.

Well it seemed to be every mistake we made that big Saffa took full advantage... big time... I know Furbank got a try but how was that better than Freddie Steward... must if been 5 or 6 massive handling errors... and ollie lawrence... you could not have run through trifle mate... rubbish

Thie England rugby team are becoming a perpetual work in progress and they still look scared to attack (unsurprising given what happend when they did try). They still revert to sending single players into contact and hopeful bix kicks. They are not a fun watch at all.

"Wales a million miles off the great teams of the past. The Scots also shite that half but lead. England will grab this game by the scuff of the neck second half, surely?"

"The 2nd half was a bit crap. It was a try at the end and a very disappointing decision. But I think Scotland lost it entering into that kick it back and forth nonsense. The commentators in Spain called it rugby tennis. I've never seen that before and could not understand the point of it, especially for France. Scotland should have kept possession and attacked properly, they would have won. Frances attack was a bit rubbish and Scotland had it in them to get through their defence."

It looked like a try at the end for the Scots. A dire game. I still don't get the hype for Finn Russell. He should have controlled that game when they were ahead instead of getting involved in a game of Kicking tennis. The England v Wales games was slightly better but no classic. England's low risk power game got the job done in the end.

"I hate to say, but have the feeling its a Scottish thing to defend a lead when it looks easier to keep going to secure the win. Then lose the lead and put a big fight back that proves to be short by the narrowest of margins. Sound like Moyes? Anyway it was a try, CUNTS."
