"Midday UK time. Anyone you fancy? Obviously dread getting Liverpool. I fancy Milan, with away leg first. The SF draw is also made shortly afterwards."

"Let's have this right, we've come out alright here.. Avoided Liverpool in both the QF and SF, and at home 2nd in both rounds. We can beat Leverkusen or whatever the fuck they are called, tough yes, but beatable, the second leg will be something to behold. Nice to have this to look forward to."

"I dont mind going Moyesball away to Leverkusen as long as it works and we dont get thumped, a draw or 1 nil defeat is acceptable if we are going to sit back... but is that really l ikely?"

"We're not making up 10-12 points on the top 5 in our last ten games. Not with the run-in we have. We need to set up to defend and hit them on the counter in the away leg especially without Alvarez. I don't feel good about Phillips in such a big game. Bringing it back home still in reach will be key. Hopefully, Emerson has returned by the first leg."

Beat Villa this weekend and that leaves Plan B into Europe (league placings) still valid. Lose or draw then this competition becomes death or glory.

We’ve beaten Arsenal and Spurs away this season… no reason why we can’t do a job on Leverkusen. Will obviously need to ride our luck but can certainly be done.

Bayer haven’t lost a single game in any tournament this season. This round will be tough. I just hope and pray that the Jock doesn’t revert to Moyesball.

"I agree with Nagel, German, Dutch and French leagues are not very good overall generally. This year is no exception. The Italian league is a step up but the Spanish league is where the real threat lies. Thankfully the Spanish teams are out of this tournament, they’re too busy dominating the Champions league. I can see us making it all the way to the final."

"We'll be without Alvarez for the first away leg, which I fear will be enough for us go full-on Moyesball and we're in for a bit of a tonking."

"If it was really a conspiracy that Liverpool were being given the easiest route to the final, they would've been drawn against us."

"I know people are like, fucking hell, they're 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, but let's face it that league ain't great at the moment. Freiburg are 8th and they're not even close to PL level. Probable that Leverkusen will still be more concerned about ensuring that they win the league than winning this cup and they play Dortmund 3 days after the 2nd leg, followed by the 3rd and 6th team in the 2 games after that, so I doubt they'll be thinking the league is already tied up."

easthammer 4:47 Fri Mar 15 If what Pav BML posted is correct that Leverkusen have been playing their 2nd string in the Europa League so far because they have been prioritising he league then their league game against Freiburg i doubt will provide much of a yardstick unfortunately. They are 10 pts clear at the top and unbeaten in the league so far this season so should comfortably beat Freiburg with heir first team

Well we avoided Liverpool but fuck me what a golf in ‘luck of the draw’ between two teams. They literally couldn’t get an easier run to the final almost as if it was planned…. Leverkusen obviously the other team you wanted to avoid but it is what it is. Absolute joke the difficulty on our side of the draw compared to theirs. They always seem to get lucky somehow. If we beat Leverkusen then it’ll be incredibly hard playing an Italian side in a semi final. They’ll be shithousing ieven more than Fiorentina were last year and both sides are somewhat better. The final Roma won was the gold standard for shithousery. I can’t say I’m thrilled with that draw at all. Very tough.
