Any unusual stories or experiences with cheese? I'm probably torn between some of the french cheeses and the vastly superior cheddar. WTF is Polish cheese?

"I love cheese and very much miss it. India has no significant cheese tradition and most people wouldn't know a mouldy sock from a Gorgonzola and would appreciate neither.
