In Portugal so watching watching with the Lisbon fans. Very funny but that is a shocking decision. Can’t be offside if ball goes backwards. Offside rule since 1257!

I had a few quid on them when they went behind. There’s not many better ways to lose a bet.

Cunte is a horrible character Loved seeing him racing down the line celebrating only for a VAR and a red card for him. even if the goal being cancelled costs me a decision win on over 2.5 goals

Just nearly woke the kids up shouting with joy at that VAR decision. You love to see it. I don’t like to take pleasure from other peoples sorrow but when it’s Spurs that sentiment goes out the window.

Just seen the challenge by Lerma on Shamacca. Not really sure why VAR didn’t intervene on that one?

I would suggest that pre-VAR no-one would be talking about the Kehrer handball either. The whole ball brushing the arm scenario was something invented alongside the VAR implementation for whatever reason. Understandable that opposition fans might be complaining but any volleyball comarisons are a nonsensical exaggeration of what happened.

"the rule isn't great, but i don't think its particularly unclear. Our first goal was handball. By any measure or any definition of the rule. That VAR cannot intervene because of PHASES is a broad irrelevance - if the referee does his job and blows immediately for the obvious handball, no one is talking about it. It was just a poor refereeing decision. We'll take it, just as we have with all the others this season. Let's just not whine when some go against us."

"VAR wasn’t the problem here. The handball rule is the problem. For the first goal, the hand was against his body, but he moved his arm and put the ball back in play as if he was playing volleyball. We obviously gained from the handball, and the rules should make it clear. For the penalty, that is handball all day long. He had his hands in the air and they gained the advantage. You just can’t put your arms in the air like that and expect not to give away a penalty. Lerma was also lucky to be on the pitch after his lunging, studs up challenge. VAR didn’t look at that, and no one is talking about it. But it goes against the narrative."

"As I said yesterday and prior to that, the handball law is a total abomination now, it appears that no one knows what the fuck is going on, it's just pot luck if your side get a pen or get away with a pen. Zero consistency."

"Call me cynical, but I don't think we get either if those decisions given our way if we were playing a Sky 6 team instead of Bournemouth."

"VAR is just utter bollocks. It's all over the place. Odd that we emerged on the right side for once. Enjoy it. Today was Bournemouth, not the bin dippers or the other lot next to them."

This direct assist thing is a load of bollocks. Checking the past 30 seconds or something would be a better way to do it.

"Correct, handball is handball if the referee see’s it, which he didn’t. The point is that VAR can’t give that decision, as it can now only only rule handball where it deems it to directly lead to a goal. In this case, as a Bournemouth player clears the ball, by the letter of the law, it didn’t directly lead to a goal. One will go against us like this too, it is what it is. It’s designed to stop going back a minute or more to a handball in the build up like they used to. I’m in favour."

Intentional handball or not isn't it a case of the ref missing it and VAR can only ajudicate the phase that led to the goal. The ref missed it so VAR can't get involved...

"Ron Eff 12:50 Tue Oct 25 But an intentional handball gets called in whatever phase of play. Correct? Kehrer was moving that basket he made towards the net intentionally in my book. The ball may not have hit is hands intentionally - had them close to his body. But the intentional movement of those hands kept the ball moving a lot more than if it had hit his chest. I guess there is some weird wiggle room there but its an intentional hand ball to me. Still you take the good, you take the bad."
