"OS Tim Steidten appointed West Ham United Technical Director West Ham United is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Steidten as the Club’s Technical Director. Steidten will be responsible for the Club's overarching player recruitment strategy and scouting department, working closely with Manager David Moyes and Sporting Director Mark Noble. The Technical Director role has been implemented as part of the Club’s continued growth strategy and comes at a key moment in West Ham United’s history, with the Hammers’ victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League earlier this month securing a third successive season in European competition. One of the game’s most-admired football administrators, 44-year-old Steidten brings his own added experience of European football to East London, having previously fulfilled a similar role with Bayer 04 Leverkusen in his native Germany, at a time when the Hammers are enjoying a sustained period of success at both first team and Academy level. Arriving at Leverkusen from Werder Bremen in June 2019, Steidten was responsible for overseeing a pivotal period in the Club’s history, with his data-led approach to scouting yielding some immediate positive results in the transfer market, recruiting a number of unheralded gems, before nurturing them into highly-coveted stars. His arrival is set to complement the strong existing UEFA Europa Conference League winning squad on and off the pitch, with further significant experience and expertise. Moyes said: “On behalf of everyone at the Club, I would like to welcome Tim to the West Ham United family. He has a strong track record in elite level football and we’re really looking forward to working with him.” Joint-Chair David Sullivan said: “Our goal when we became custodians of West Ham United and moved to London Stadium was to bring silverware to this incredible Club and to regularly compete in European football. We’ve enjoyed some fantastic times in recent seasons, and we aim to continue to grow and evolve across all areas of the Club. Tim’s appointment is key to our wider plans to drive our football strategy forward. We are delighted to welcome such a well-respected name in the game to the Club.” Steidten said: “I am extremely proud to be joining West Ham United, at such an exciting time in this Club’s incredible history. Building on the Club’s recent European success, there is already a fantastic team in place, but also so much ambition – from the Board, the Manager, his staff and the players – to continue succeeding, developing and growing. I cannot wait to play a key part in that. Come on you Irons!”"

"Willtell 10:52 Mon Jul 3 You've confused yourself again, you old fool. I've never thought Kretinsky would take over. That post proves nothing of the sort. What I might have got ""wrong"" (if you're that desperate to find something I might have failed on) is that I thought Moyes would be binned off this summer."

"""At no point have said I thought Kretinsky would/will take over. Just because (last Feb) I thought we might get new owners this summer, doesn't mean I thought it might be Kretinsky."" ------------------------------------------ Except you said that when I said that it was ""wishful thinking that Kretinsky takes over and fires Moyes.."" Again you're a liar Lee..."

"I don't take what Gonzo says as gospel any more than I take the nonsense you churn out as gospel. JWP is the kind of signing a dinosaur manager that rarely looks beyond the PL goldfish bowl of talent until someone says look at this player... There were strong links for Moyes interest in JWP.for weeks but since Steidten has been heralded unofficially by the likes of Gonzo 2 weeks ago, the gossip has dropped regarding JWP, Maguire and McTominay and moved onto younger European, Asian and S American players. These are the clues as to the road we are traveling but it could be that I'm reading the signals wrong. I won't be disappointed if JWP becomes a WH player but that means Moyes got his way. I definitely think that Steidten will have the final say though on whether Moyes gets a new contract..."

Willtell 10:23 Mon Jul 3 ''All I'm saying is that we will soon get to see who has final say if the JWP signing goes ahead'' Oh turn it in. So if we don't sign JWP that means Sneidten has the final say just because a bloke on YT says that Moyes wants him. Yea right'o. I find it very strange that you take what Gonzo says as gospel.

Lee Trundle 10:22 Mon Jul 3 haha - yeah it's a bit obvious he does that. It's probably because he can't think for himself. ----------------------------------- At least I do think for myself without lying like you do Lee. Tell us again how you didn't think Kretinsky was taking over last week? Lee Trundle 12:44 Tue Feb 28 Re: Moyes Out I've just explained why. Do you not think we're likely to get new owners by/in the summer? You think they'll want him around?

And I can see why so many people want to argue with you because of your posting style. All I'm saying is that we will soon get to see who has final say if the JWP signing goes ahead. That will be an enormous clue. Claret & Booze I find a pointless waste of time from know nothings so never watch them. Gonzo and Geo are bearable in small doses...

"Willtell - I can see why some on here get at you, you have a very annoying posting style. First of all, when I said ''boss'' I wasn't referencing who has the final say on players, I mean as in who reports to who, and as it it seems both Steiden and Moyes report directly to bloke with the Russian hats. Now, if you are going to start quoting YT channels, that I'v noticed you have a somewhat strange habit of doing, then claret & booze have said that Moyes still has the final word on who comes in."

I find it amusing that the Charlatan Exwhu is clearly losing contacts. Completely unaware of Tim Steidten when it was first mentioned by that Fabrizio Romano fella.

"diehardhammer 11:58 Sun Jul 2 ''They believe Moyes still has a veto on signings despite Steidten coming in.'' May or may not be true, but I wouldn't be shocked at all. I don't buy this 'TS is Moyes's boss' that I've seen quoted on here."

Just watching the claret and booze YouTube video tonight They believe Moyes still has a veto on signings despite Steidten coming in. If that’s true I don’t see Tim lasting long at all given how stubborn Moyes is
