"Sunday Jan 28, 2024 2:00 PM Bristol City Women - West Ham United Women Sorry we missed last weeks game against Spurs after the winger break with the site going down. But back for this big six pointer against Bristol City. Bristol are last and we are just above them second to last on goal difference. During the break, Rehanne Skinner has added experience and quality in the form of United States international Kristie Mewis, Canadian defender Shelina Zadorsky and Australian Katrina Gorry. Howeve, it wasn't quite enough quality to beat Spurs in a 7 goal thriller that saw us level on 1-1 and 3-3, before spurs won it with a 75th minute goal. We should get a win today, Hammers."

As the American comedian Bill Burr said “ if women can’t be bothered to support women’s sport why do they expect men to “ Joey Barton on Piers Morgan also worth a listen if only to hear Bianca Westwood lose her shit which shocked me as she is one of the better females involved in the sport.

"My mate took his daughter to Stamford bridge the other night for their CL game, said there were about 3000 there. They never seem to mention the low attendances in the media, only when there's a big crowd due to cheap tickets"

Something popped up on my social media which I think was Tottenham v Arsenal or the other way round talking about tickets for £3.50 Thats £175k max (there will be freebies) before ANY costs After all the talking during the Womens WC about how marvellous it was and better than watching the men I saw a clip of Liverpool v Everton at Anfield and Everton headed a goal at the non Kop end which was completely empty Was seeing that Netball in Australia had no money even though Aust are World Champions. Why ? Because unlike Cricket and AFL they dont have a money generating mens sport to leach off

"Looking on the teams wikipedia page, out of the ones who have a ""personal life"" section, all but one says something like ""X is dating fellow teammate..."". Only one was with a bloke and had a child. Normal distribution you would expect one or two, but its completely inverted in women's football. It's not a stereotype at all."

Wonder which club (hopefully us) will abandon the money drain of a womens team and save themselves a couple of million or more a season Would prefer to see us use the resources on our u18 & u21 boys I see the Mary EARPS goalkeeper shirts have sold out in 5mins. Will they ever reveal how many were offered in this and the previous batch? Or publish gate takings for ANY WSL match. We must be raking in about £10k a match TOPS?

The ex-Spurs they brought in was very poor there and will get us relegated.

"I couldn't login to WHO most of today, both sites .net and .co.uk gave me errors? So apologies for not giving the heads up for the WSL after the International break. In some ways worse then the men as we lost 1-0 to Everton, which doesn't sound so bad. But it was at home, it was club-record fifth consecutive top-flight defeat and it sent us to the bottom of the league. Oh well over Christmas the only way is up. Leicester next."

"Good for you Boleyn. My daughter also takes an interest, but it's pretty good for her supporting Barcelona, which is near where we live."

"Went over there with my daughter today, was awful really…our support is shocking but then what do you expect when the teams gone backwards for the last few years. Still though, my daughter enjoyed her first away day which is something and enjoyed seeing some of the players she likes."

"Lost 3-0, actually we drew the 2nd half 0-0, so maybe that can be considered an improvement. It's a table of 2 halfs and we're not looking so bad for so few points. #
