Re: Callum Marshall
"That's simply not possible, Lee. Rules are that you can only make an early termination of a loan after they've been there for at least 28 days."
Re: Callum Marshall
"Was a strange move this one, he was being tipped to join a host of league two clubs first few weeks of the window then all of a sudden he got a new deal and off to WBA. I see him pre season in the Daggers game and not surprised he isnt getting a look in at a side chasing promotion. He should of gone to the higher team in league one at best.... needs to bulk up a bit Yet another shit loan by West Ham, just like we did with Odupeko"

Re: Callum Marshall
WBA got a winger from Celtic about 5 mins after Marshall joined so we should have recalled him immediately especially after selling every left winger we have. I reckon the transfer window we've just had is the worst one we've ever been involved in.
Re: Callum Marshall
"On paper it was a very decent loan move. Better to be going to a top 6 side rather than a struggling team who don't create chances, and WBA don't really have any decent strikers. Their main one averages about 1 goal every 4 games and in his best ever season he scored 11, and that was in League 2. Kind of makes you wonder why Marshall hasn't been able to make himself first choice. Perhaps we simply rated him higher than he actually is at this stage, in which case it would have been better for him to go to a lower division. Although if he'd gone to a League 1 or 2 club then people would moan that he should have been playing at a higher level if he wants to play in the PL next season."

Re: Callum Marshall
Even without minutes he is better there than our u21's. He'll won't play under Moyes.

Re: Callum Marshall
"El Scorchio 4:41 Sat Feb 17 Not comparing them as players at all, but if you do consider that Defoe was in a different class to Marshall and League One was the right place for him, surely it lends weight to the argument that a promotion-seeking Championship club wasn't the best place for Callum?"

"Yeah, I get that... which is why I think he'd probably have been better off going to the third tier and playing regularly. After all, it didn't do Defoe any harm going to Bournemouth at a similar age"

Re: Callum Marshall
"I watched the game last night When he came on he looked about 12 compared to the players around him. As hard as he tried nothing came off, I do worry that his size may be a problem for the Prem League"
Re: Callum Marshall
"It was stated that there were at least 3 Championship teams that wanted him and WBA fought off competition. He's been in the squad for 4 games, not 3 Corboran is a decent manager but it looks like the stakes are too high for him Bottom line is would he be better not playing for them, not playing for us but keeping up confidence and scoring regularly for our reserves or playing consistently for a team lower down in the Championship or even at the top of league 1 I know what I think"

Re: Callum Marshall
"He has gone to a playoff level team who have been in good form 20 mins in his first game, sat on the bench on Tuesday and given 30 mins last night. Understand they were outplayed by Southampton (Flynn Downes had a late fitness test but didnt make it) & he was sent on with the game in the balance at 0-1. Finished 0-2 Still have 14 League games (& maybe playoffs) & am sure he will get chances under a good manager in Carlos Corberan ... was an assistant under Bielsa at Leeds & took Huddersfield to the Championship final where they got done by an own goal and some questionable refereeing Hopefully experience at this level will see him learn a lot so he comes back ready to play under our new manager"

Re: Callum Marshall
"Where? You 'send him' to a club where he is going to get game time or what's the point? In the unlikely event that nobody else wanted him then he stays and continues his development at the club, which would be better than him sitting on the bench at poxy WBA. Now off you go and disagree."

Re: Callum Marshall
Manuel 5:25 Sat Feb 17 Where would 'send' him? Bearing in mind they'd need to want him too
